ASTRO'S POV

What beautiful stars tonight... No shooting stars though. I started identifying different constellations. I could finally rest, alone. Let myself be my own comfort. I don't need to rely on anyone else, do i? Not even Dandy.
The grass is so soft... Maybe i could sleep in here.
A voice i didn't want to hear startled me:

"Astro?"

I panicked when i heard Dandy behind me. Really...? Following me out? I was in no mood to talk to him right now.

"I'm not in the mood right now, Dandy..."

"Come onnn, i promise I'll actually kiss you this time."

I frowned and tightened my blanket around me.

"Dandy, please, leave." I spoke louder.

"Ahh, reverse psychology! I'll stay with you, Astro! I'll love you forever, Astro ~ what would i do without you?"

How could one joke around with such words?! Does he have no idea how much it stings?

"I don't want you here! I don't want your jokes, your "love", your presence, anything! Just let me be!" I shouted at him, turning around.

Dandy started twisting in front of me. I stood my ground. I felt no fear of him.

"You'll regret what you're saying."

"I don't think i will! You hurt me enough. It's always been you! And if you don't give up this superiority complex, nobody in Gardenview will listen to you anymore!" I snapped at him, walking forward.

"I suggest you run. You've caught a bit too much bravery. Do you know what I'm capable of?!"

"I'm done running away. Go ahead, kill me. Hurt me in the worst of ways! It won't get you anywhere."

I stared him right in his red glowing eyes. His smile faded, his claws digging into the ground.

"Astro. Seriously. Run." He growled, trembling.

I knew something was off and began backing away. Dandy's eyes got more red.
Was he... Actually fully twisting?
I ran away.

DANDY'S POV

THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS. THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS! How did Astro do it?!
I couldn't turn back to my normal form. I tried clearing my mind, counting, breathing....
Nothing was getting me out of this. Astro's words... My jokes weren't that bad! I didn't think they'd.... Fully drive him against me!
Oh fuck, i messed up...
Boiling Ichor dripped from my eyes as i succumbed to this "death".
I felt like i was losing control of my body.
Astro was nearby.
I'll... I'll take him with me.

Growling, i quickly ran after Astro. I caught up to him. No... What am i doing?!
Blinded and overcome by Ichor, i couldn't control myself.
Something cracked in my hands.
I slowly snapped out of the trance, breathing heavily. Only to find Astro's dead body in my hands.

It's okay... I've done this before. I've killed Toons before. I'll just recreate him.
I calmed down and finally managed to switch back to my normal form.
I hurriedly carried Astro to my room.
I opened a bottle of Ichor and began recreating him.

Wait... The ichor. It's not... Listening to me.
Why is it...

Confused, i laid in the puddle of Ichor. Maybe... Astro is just knocked out...
I'll just try recreating Finn...
Yet, the Ichor still didn't listen. It didn't work. There was only one explanation...

I quickly checked my chest of tapes. Sure enough, the golden one was missing. They...
They took it while i was gone! They cast the spell... They erased my abilities. They PERMANENTLY KILLED Finn and Astro.
That's why it was hard for me to turn back from my twisted form.
No... It couldn't be.

I felt tears roll down my cheeks. Astro...
I ran to his body. I nudged him, yet no response.
I pulled him into a tight hug, while my tears stained his blanket. I deserved this. This suffering. But Astro? He didn't deserve to die like this.
