1.Wronged

ASTRO'S POV

I listened in on the conversation that the other Toons were having.

"We need to do something about him. Honestly." Said Teagan, one of Dandy's biggest haters.

"Yeah! We can't just... Suffer like this, doing his work forever! As far as I'm aware, the Twisteds don't even attack Dandy! He can just do everything himself!" said Poppy, angry.

"And besides... He made our lives completely worthless! Why try to live when he will just recreate us from Ichor as if nothing ever happened? Why should i even try to live if that's the case?!" Asked Vee rhetorically.

"Well, we do know he HATES "wasting" his precious ichor on recreating us. I mean, Flutter once had to wait a whole month to be revived!" Replied Toodles.

"I'm sure he has... A good reason..." I mumbled silently.

Vee sighed and placed her arm around me.

"Astro... Dandy isn't... He's not... The same anymore."

"How long has it been since you two have talked?" Asked Teagan.

"It's been a long time since we've had an ACTUAL talk, he keeps saying he's busy... If you count the hellos, good mornings and all that, we talked yesterday."

"Does he even let you in his room anymore?" Asks Teagan again.

"Well... No... Not as much..."

"Astro, you're the one who's closest to him. You should use that. Find out what he's doing, his plans! We can... Dethrone him from the inside!" Said Brightney.

I looked down. I didn't want to hurt Dandy. I knew what he was doing was... Pretty bad, but I didn't want to do such things.

Once we came back up through the elevator, i started looking for Dandy. Hopefully he wasn't in his room... He would definitely not unlock it.

I saw a colorful pattern in the corner of my eye. I turned around, and there he was!

"Dandy, I -"

"No time! Sorry, little guy. Maybe tomorrow."

Dandy quickly stormed off through a hallway. I followed behind him. He was carrying two huge boxes.

"It's... Pretty important! Please..." I begged again, but i assumed he didn't even hear it since my voice is so silent.

Dandy backed away into his room, having no hands to lock the door with. He didn't say anything like "don't come in!" Or anything, so i silently stepped inside, closing the door behind me.

He placed the boxes down next to his bed.
I looked around the room. It barely changed since the last time i entered a few years ago. There was his chair with tons of monitors... he can watch absolutely every floor and elevator through those...
His bed was as messy as always, with unexplainable colorful stains on it.
Out of nowhere, Pebble ran up to me and tackled me to the ground.

"Ah! Hey, boy... How are you?" I said while petting the little pet rock.

"Bark! Borf!" Barked Pebble, running off again.

"Excited to see me again? Me too, buddy" i spoke to Pebble before getting up.

Something that scared me a bit was some stains of Ichor and tons of multi-gallon bottles. I assumed those were full of Ichor too.
In a corner of his room was a large unlocked chest. I walked to it and opened it up to reveal tons and tons of tapes.

"If you take any of those, I'll slice your head  clean off!" I heard Dandy's voice from a few inches away behind me.

"Ah! Sorry!" I jumped and tripped over, falling right onto the ground like a fish out of water.

Dandy didn't bother to help me up and walked away. A few years back, he would've checked if i was okay, helped me up, healed me... Now he's nonchalant about everything. All he cares about is Ichor and Tapes.

I sat on his bed after getting up, like i used to do when we talked together. He was staring into the monitors again. Some Toons must've gone for another run.

"Dandy?" I asked, hoping for a nice conversation after all these years.

Dandy didn't even seem to hear me.

"D-Dandy?" I asked again, my voice was more silent and weak.

"Ah, goodbye." Said Dandy, not taking his eyes off the monitor.

I sighed. He probably wants me to leave. I opened the door to his room and left, with a bit of hesitation. I heard Pebble whine after me, but I didn't look back.
