DANDY'S POV
It's a sunny day and great weather to take Pebble out for a walk! For the past week it's been mostly rainy or cloudy... Now's the perfect time! Warm sun, great for both me and Peb!
I have to go wake him up though...
I tip-toe around my bed to find Pebble comfortably snuggled up on his favorite pillow. It always pains me to wake him up when he's like this.
I nudge one of his sides until his tail starts wagging and his eyes open.
"Bworf... Woof!" He barked when he saw me.
"Good morning, buddy..." I pet his head.
However soon enough i heard another pair of slow, sleepy footsteps. I could recognize them anywhere.
"Astro! Up early?" I ask him.
"...Mmm... Yeah...."
"I'm going out with Pebble! Not only for him to play, but also for me to do some... Much needed photosynthesis." I joked.
"I wanna come too... But I'm sleepy..." Astro yawned.
"Oh... Well... We can go slow..." I try to find a solution.
"Could you carry me?"
We both stared at eachother for a second before i start laughing.
"Haha! I can carry you, Astro. You'll have to keep my stamina up though."
Astro didn't comment on it and immediately flopped into my arms, comfy in his blanket. I push myself up and start walking out of the room, with Pebble after me.
As we pass the main hallway i feel Vee's gaze burning my back. I try to ignore it. The other Toons were also staring.
Can't they really mind their own businesses?
Once we're outside, i feel the soft breeze of the morning and i walk slowly and relaxed while Pebble runs around.
"Mmm... This is nice." Astro mumbled, the gentle sun rays shining over him.
"Yeah, really nice when you have a little slave carrying you around!" I joke.
"You can't blame me, can you? Anyone would love a king treatment." Astro giggled, snuggling into my chest.
I continue walking, the fresh grass feeling like a soft carpet as i walk through a meadow.
"You treat me so well..." Astro mumbled again.
"How could one not, my moonlight?" I reply, sitting on the grass with Astro in my lap.
Pebble sat next to me as well, staring at us with an annoyed expression. He's never been a big fan of romance...
I pick up a nearby branch and throw it, inviting Pebble to fetch.
Pebble runs after it wildly, happy to get his much needed movement.
The cycle repeats a few times till i decide it'd be about time to return.
I look at Astro, who definitely fell asleep quite a while ago.
I carefully get up and start carrying him home, Pebble following us with the branch still in his mouth. Another one to the collection, i guess...
Once i walk into the building, Vee greets me. Out of them all... Why her?!
All she did, however, was give me a smile. I smile back hesitantly before heading to Astro's room to drop him off.
That's progress...?
