.... He loves me not?
DANDY'S POV
If I don't tell him now... It might just be too late. He has to know...
I sigh loudly, petting Pebble roughly on his back.
Delilah's been trying to get closer to Astro, and that can't mean any good at all! I can't just have been skeptical, right?!
Astro also seems to not be able to leave his Twisted form.
I think just yesterday i saw him drink Ichor from our only Ichor machine secretly.
Somehow he's still sane, still sentient, yet he has the tendencies of a Twisted.
In a fit of fear and rage, a few days ago, he attacked Gigi. That can't mean any good.
Ever since the incident, everyone's been staying very far from Astro.
As much as i hate to admit it, he even scared me a little. He's just so silent when he walks around... Even in his twisted form. Quite a few times i thought he appeared behind me from out of nowhere. The only hint he's there would be his occasional hums and light he emits in the dark.
This whole thing is so interesting... Half of me wants to experiment further on this, but the other half of me... Cares for Astro's wishes.
I keep quickly petting Pebble as he whines and snuggles closer. He senses I'm not well.
I suddenly feel a hand on my back.
"AAAH!!" I jump, falling off the bed.
Astro... Scared me again. I'm starting to think he's doing this on purpose.
He remained silent in my bed, hugging himself and seeming sad and uncomfortable.
"Sorry i got scared again, Astro... I told you to let me know you're there when you plan talking to me!" I climbed back into bed, a bit embarrassed.
Noticing his discomfort, i slowly pull a blanket over him.
"Thanks..." He whispers.
"So... What brings you here?" I ask, inching closer.
"Delilah told me..."
Ah... That little... Wait. He doesn't know, right? She didn't tell him, right?!
"Is something wrong, Dandy?" He asks silently.
"Ah... N-no..." I look away from him, avoiding eye contact.
"She showed me a few tapes..."
Of course she did! She must've given it all away. For what, to get me in trouble?! That information isn't even relevant anymore!
"Earth to Dandy..." He whispers, incredibly close to my face.
I yelp and back off, getting scared yet again and snapping out of my thoughts.
"Why didn't you tell me about all of that, Dandy? I thought we said no secrets."
"That was irrelevant! That's not who i am now... And it's not happening anymore!" I try to defend myself.
"It's still a secret and you held it from me... Why?"
"Because what i did was horrible." I admit, looking down at my knees. "I didn't want you thinking that's who i am right now."
"You know i don't think like that, Dandy..."
"Why are you so nice to me, Astro...?! I don't deserve it..."
"You might not deserve it... But i know people change and I'm open to giving you more chances."
I silently hugged Astro, feeling all four of his arms wrap around me. I can't believe I've been struggling to hide from him. I owe Delilah a few thanks.
"I love you, Astro." I whisper during the hug.
"I'm glad to hear." He whispers with a dull voice.
After a long awkward pause, he speaks again:
"I'm just joking... I love you too, Dandy."
Slowly, i feel Astro's body shrink in my arms.
"Wait... You're okay now!" I exclaim happily
"Whoa... This is much better..."
"No more drinking out of our only power supply now?" I giggle.
"Hahaha... No more- Wait, You saw that?!"
I laugh with Astro, feeling like the old inseparable pair we used to be. Reunited to be stronger.
...He loves me.
