19. Idea

**3 days after last chapter**

ASTRO'S POV

I refused to believe that Dandy cares. He harassed me with jokes and teases all day for weeks, made fun of my feelings, broke my heart multiple times over, nearly murdered me, set the entirety of Gardenview on fire then lied to me about it all. I could go on and on!
He's hurt me so much. I just stood there and took it. All of his stupid jokes, i just took them full blow. Why should i hurt for him to be happy?

I looked back towards him. He was rolled up in a corner, looking away from everyone else. He seemed to be shivering.

I bet there is a smile on that face he's hiding. So wonderful! Stuck in a dark, abandoned building with all i love, all the memories, all burnt and destroyed.

DANDY'S POV

I want to talk to him... No one else cares about me like he did. I need to make up for my actions. Maybe i should bring him a bouquet of flowers, a sorry note and a cinnamon roll???
That would probably be too little. An astrology book too? Since all of them burnt down...
That's it! I'll bring everything he lost in the fire... And then give him the space he wants.
It'll be perfect! Oh, what a great idea, Dandy! Thank you, Dandy!

ASTRO'S POV

I saw Dandy run off. I wanted to go after him, in case he was planning something bad. Either for himself, or any of us.
Vee held me back.

"Astro, leave him. Seriously, he'll be back, I'm sure."

"We all need sleep, Astro. We're tired and you'll be helpful" said Shelly.

"Right!" I said as i began focusing my powers on everyone.
I drained everyone's energy and saw them all fall asleep and get the rest they needed. I was tired too, but i was too stressed to sleep.
Reading a book or watching the night skies would be great right now...

DANDY'S POV

This astrology book looks so fancy! And... Large! Looks like it'd contain all the knowledge Astro would want.
I opened the book and looked through it. I opened it on a page that struck my interest.
Wait... Shooting stars? ... oh! That's tonight!
I got another brilliant idea. I have to get everything until sunset!

Then, i collected a bunch of blankets. Astro loves having tons of unnecessary backups in case he loses the one he always carries around.

I got a really good looking cinnamon bun. He wouldn't mind if it's cold, would he? Being here, i should take some stuff to eat and drink for everyone else...

How about flowers? Hmm... Oh! I should try to find those exact forget-me-not flowers we saw that day... Hope they're still there!

While I'm at it... How about a bone for Pebble? He must be bored to infinity right now.

I set everything up according to plan. The shooting stars will start soon, but there won't be too many in the sky till about an hour later. Now for the hardest part... Talking to Astro.

All the Toons should be asleep right now. It'd be pretty bad to have to disturb Astro's sleep. I'll just bring all the food and drinks and Pebble's bone while they won't see me.

ASTRO'S POV

I saw Dandy step back in, looking even more tired than everyone else. He didn't sleep at all, did he?
Everyone else was still asleep. I noticed Dandy carrying a large bag.

"What's in there?" I asked. My voice seemed to scare Dandy.

"Oh... Well... Food. Drinks. Stuff."

"How thoughtful. You bothered to do something useful."

"Hold on, Astro... I have something prepared for you."

"What? No, I'm not leaving this place with you." I said, suspicious.

"Please, Astro... I can't even twist anymore. It won't take long, i promise!"

"You can't twist anymore?"

"Oh... They didn't tell you about it...? Uh... I can't use the Ichor anymore. They exorcised it." He mumbled.

"Fine. I don't believe that, but I'll go."

I saw Dandy's eyes shine with excitement as i followed him out of the woods.

"We're not going to that hill again, are we?"
