15. Josh

Josh's PoV

After our group project in the library we all went home in my car. I haven't talked to akansha since I confessed my feelings.

I don't know it feels even more awkward than it was before between us..did I ruin our friendship? Is she gonna reject me? Will she ignore me from now on?

Thoughts like these haunted my head during the ride as I shrugged my thoughts off and focused on driving.

I really like akansha and I confessed cause I don't know I feel like Eshaan some how likes akansha too.

The way he looks at her and the way he looks at Shreya there's a huge difference between it. Or maybe I'm just over thinking it too much.

But god please..please I hope akansha likes me back. I didn't want to fall inlove again after what Luna did to me in Korea.

Luna..my first love..I sighed since I didn't want to talk about her anymore. She has forgotten me and I have forgotten her...atleast for now tho.

I parked the car in the parking garage and all of them went to their respective homes. I entered my house as my mother smiled and said.

"Josh come..the dinner is ready." My mother said with her usual cheerful smile.

I smiled back at her and nod. "I'll go and freshen up." I said as I remove my shoes.

My mother nodded as she prepares the dinner table. I entered my room and flopped my body on the bed and let out a heavy sigh.

Why am I so unlucky in love..maybe I don't deserve to be loved. Ugh! These things are making my head ache!

I got up and went to bathroom and took a quick shower and went to the dinning table and my mom and dad were already seated there.

I greeted my father and sat on my chair. I ate the dinner and my mother as always started to talk about my marriage again.

"Hey Josh..my friend has a daughter..she is just 2 years younger than you..if you don't mind then—" I cut off mom.

"Mom please..I already told you I don't wanna date anyone at the moment. I just came here so let me have some time." I said as I was sick of my mother always introducing me to girls.

Typical Indian mother.

"Yeah Sushma, he just came here and it's only been a month..let him get involved here and get comfortable here." My dad said.

Mother sighs and nods. "I'm just worried about you..I don't want you get stuck in your past with Luna..I just want you happy."

I sighed I almost lost my appetite but I won't leave the food since it was made by her and I don't wanna disrespect her by walking away.

I composed myself and looked at mom and said. "Mom..I'm over her now..and I have to say something to you."

My parents both look at me with curious expressions as my father spoke. "What is it?"

I sighed and put the spoon down on my plate and looked at them with a serious expression. "There is a girl whom I like here."

My mother smiles widens as my father looked at me with a thoughtful look. My mother then started to ramble on questions about the girl I like.

"Woah woah chill mom..I'll answer everything." I said as I calmed her.

"Ok..first things first..you know that girl." I said.

Her eyes lit up more as she looked so curious. "Who is it!?"

"A-ah..she is..Akansha.." I said as I was a bit nervous too.

Her eyes widens as she looked at me. "The one who lives on fifth floor!?"

I nod. She smiles even more. Ok so this is a good sign. She likes her.

"Then it's even more good! I really like that girl! She is a very sweet girl!" My mother said with a wide smile.

My father then said his expression neutral as he spoke. "But have you confessed her?"

I nod. "Yeah I did..but she said she needs time which I think is good since we really don't know each other that much."

My father nods "then I guess you have a chance with her. But what if she likes someone else? You came here just a month ago and she stays here for many years."

My mother then yanked his shoulder. "Oh come on honey don't think negative before it even starts!"

My father chuckled as he nods. "Fine fine..well I hope she says yes." He said as he looked at me.

I nod and smiled at him. Well At least I have supporting parents who loves me very much. We then again begin to eat and chat a little.

My phone ping up with a notification. I looked at my phone and choked hard. Mother quickly gives me water.

"Are you okay Josh?" Said my father with a worried tone as I drank the water and looked at the notification with wide eyes.

Am I dreaming!? No no..there's no way in hell akansha massaged me to meet at a cafe!
I told this to my parents and they both smile in happiness.

Even I was smiling like an idiot! Then my mother said. "Yay! So she is finally calling you on a date!"

My cheeks turned red a little. "Oh come on mom! It's not a date she just called me to meet at a cafe."

My mother gave me a teasing smile as she saw me blushing and My father chuckled as he patted my shoulder. "Congrats son!"

My day just got a lot better now! I know it's not a date but still she messaged me to meet her was like a great win for me!
