"Go back to school," Derek said to the teenage boys walking into the loft.

Tala chuckled. Beacon Hills loved their teenage supernaturals.

"Well, actually, we can't," Issac said. "Boyd and I are incredibly and unbelievably sick."

"With what?" Derek asked. "Brain damage?"

"Well, I have a migraine," Issac explained. "And uh, Boyd here has explosive diarrhea."

Boyd sighed. "We're here to protect you."

"You're here to protect me?" Derek asked, exchanging a glance with Tala. "Well, I'm in trouble then."

"Actually, Boyd here came up with a plan," Issac said.

Boyd smiled, reaching down into his bag. "Yeah, I thought about the time Gerard had me and Erica locked up, tied up with electrical wires pushing the current through us. I was wondering how we could do something like that." he pulled a roll of wires out of the bag. "But on a bigger scale."

Tala laughed. "Smart kid." She looked at Derek. "Gerard's still around?"

"He's back around," Derek explained.

"Ah, of course," Tala said. "Electrocution, huh? He never has been very creative. But it works." She acknowledged, making Boyd smile.

He stood, approaching the hose on the wall. He picked it up, turning on the water and leaving it on the floor so it would begin to fill up the loft.

"In a pool of electrified water, it can take up to 50 milliamps to kill a normal human, less than the power it takes to turn on a lightbulb," Boyd explained, becoming more confident with his plan by the moment.

"That's comforting," Derek sighed.

"If we disable the circuit interrupted in the building's electrical room, the current will keep coming. And anyone who steps foot in here, they'll get a pretty shocking surprise," Boyd said.

"Especially someone who's barefoot," Issac added.

The four of them waited in the loft, only able to stay in one spot due to the water across the room.

Tala threw her head back, sighing.

"Oh, what's wrong, princess?" Derek asked sarcastically.

She glared at him. "I'm tired of waiting."

"They'll be here," Derek said. "They wouldn't put their symbol on my home and just not show up."

"You sure about that?" Tala asked.

Issac's brows furrowed and he leaned forward.

"Isn't the light on that supposed to be on?" he asked, pointing to the red alarm.

Derek sighed, looking at the light that was clearly not lit up. "Yeah."

"What does it mean if it's not?" Issac asked.

"Someone cut the auxiliary power," Derek explained.

"What about the main–" Boyd began, only to be cut off as the lights shut off completely.

Each of them scrambled to their feet, looking around in the dark.

Tala's brows furrowed. She glanced down at the water, lifting her foot and slowly dropping it down into the water.

When there was no reaction, she stepped forward, walking out into the room.

Derek followed behind her, looking around.
