#8 | DRUNK MISTAKES!

There you were, hungover at Kenma's house. Wait—how did you even end up in this situation? Let's rewind to the beginning.

It was a random Friday when Rin had been relentless in her attempts to drag you to a party. "Y/n, come on! It's good to let loose every now and then!" she had said with an infectious enthusiasm that was both exhilarating and overwhelming.

"Ugh, fine. But you owe me for this," you relented, feeling a mix of reluctance and curiosity about what the night would hold.

You both got dressed in Rin's apartment. She had chosen a chic, midi-length black dress with long sleeves and sleek heels that accentuated her elegant style. You, on the other hand, were at the mercy of Rin's fashion choices. She had picked out a burgundy lace tube top that hugged your torso snugly, paired with a black miniskirt that seemed to defy gravity. A black leather jacket added an edgy flair, while black boots and a burgundy handbag completed the ensemble.

"You look amazing!" Rin declared as she eyed your outfit with approval. "We both do. It's perfect for tonight!"

You tugged at the hem of your skirt nervously. "Isn't this a bit too revealing?" you asked, feeling exposed.

"Nah, you look hot," Rin insisted confidently. "Besides, it's a party. You'll blend right in."

The drive to the party was filled with Rin's excited chatter about the people she hoped to see and the memories she wanted to relive. You were more focused on mentally preparing yourself for the social chaos ahead. As Rin navigated through the city, you found your anxiety melting away, albeit slowly.

The house where the party was held was a grand, old-style mansion. Its sprawling facade was lit up with festive lights, casting a warm glow that contrasted sharply with the cold night air. The front yard was filled with cars, and the sounds of music and laughter spilled out onto the street. You could feel your stomach churn with a mix of apprehension and anticipation.

Upon entering, you were immediately hit by the energetic atmosphere. The music was loud, the crowd was dense, and the air was thick with the smell of food and alcohol. It was a far cry from the quiet, controlled environment of your work life.

You spotted Shouyou amidst a group of familiar faces but decided to explore the house before seeking him out. Rin went straight to Shouyou, leaving you to navigate the maze of people on your own.

Your first stop was the kitchen, where you grabbed a beer from the cooler. The cold can felt good in your hand as you cracked it open and took a long swig. If you were going to survive the night, you figured you might as well do it with a drink in hand. The alcohol started to take the edge off, and you felt a bit more relaxed.

After finishing the beer, you decided to find Rin, but she seemed to have vanished into the crowd. You wandered through the house, passing through rooms filled with people chatting, dancing, and laughing. The house was stunning—an old-fashioned charm with ornate furniture, elegant chandeliers, and vintage decor. It felt almost like stepping into a different era.

As you explored, you spotted a familiar face among the crowd. Akaashi, with his raven hair and calm demeanor, stood near the corner of the living room, engaged in conversation. You felt a wave of relief at the sight of someone you knew.
