epilogue !

The morning of your wedding, you woke up to sunlight streaming through the windows and Rin bustling around the room, ensuring every detail was perfect. Despite her chatter and the steady stream of compliments from the makeup artist, your stomach was a mess of knots.

Your palms felt clammy as you stared at your reflection in the mirror. The dress fit perfectly, every bead and lace detail painstakingly crafted, yet it did little to settle the whirlwind of emotions in your chest.

"What if I trip walking down the aisle?" you muttered, your voice barely above a whisper.

Rin turned to you, a teasing smile playing on her lips. "Then you'll get up, laugh it off, and still be the most beautiful bride anyone's ever seen. Relax, Y/N. You've got this."

She gently squeezed your shoulder, her warmth seeping into you like a balm. "You're marrying Kenma. The guy who's loved you since you were kids—even when you were being insufferable. Trust me, nothing could ruin today for him."

Her words made you laugh, albeit nervously. As much as you tried to focus on the excitement of the day, the weight of it all—the vows, the lifelong commitment—pressed heavily on you. Not because you doubted your love for Kenma, but because this was the biggest step you'd ever taken in your life.

As the final preparations wrapped up, and Rin helped adjust your veil one last time, she said softly, "You're ready. And Kenma's going to cry the moment he sees you walk down that aisle. Just wait."

The ceremony began, and the sight of Kenma waiting for you at the altar made everything else fade into the background. His golden eyes softened the moment they met yours, and as you walked down the aisle, all the nerves melted away.

Standing there in front of everyone you loved, holding Kenma's hands, you realized Rin was right. This wasn't just a wedding; it was the culmination of a love story you hadn't seen coming.

"Y/N, you've been in my life for as long as I can remember. From the days when we were kids, arguing over the smallest things, to the moment I realized I never wanted you out of my life, you've been my constant.

I used to think love was something loud and dramatic, but with you, I've learned it can be quiet, steady, and deeply comforting—like coming home after a long day. You're my best friend, my greatest rival, and my heart's other half.

I promise to love you, even when we argue. To stand by you, even when things get tough. To laugh with you, cry with you, and grow with you. And most importantly, to always choose you—every single day, for the rest of our lives.

Thank you for loving me, for challenging me, and for making life so much brighter just by being in it. I can't wait to spend forever with you."

Tears glistened in your eyes as he spoke, his words settling deep in your heart. You gave his hands a squeeze, steadying yourself before beginning your own vows.

"Kenma, I never imagined that the boy who used to drive me crazy would one day be the man I couldn't live without.

You've always been my safe space, even when we didn't see eye to eye. With you, I've learned what it means to love unconditionally, to grow alongside someone, and to be loved in a way that feels so deeply natural.

I promise to be your partner, your teammate, and your greatest cheerleader. To love you, even on the days when it's hard. To laugh with you, dream with you, and to never take for granted the quiet moments that make our love so special.

You've taught me that love doesn't have to be perfect—it just has to be ours. And I can't wait to keep writing our story with you."

"I do," Kenma said, his voice steady despite the tears in his eyes.

"I do," you echoed, your voice strong and clear.

As the officiant declared you husband and wife, cheers erupted. Kenma pulled you close, his kiss soft yet filled with the promise of everything your future held.

The reception was a celebration to remember. Rin's speech stole the show, her voice a mix of humor and heartfelt sentiment.

"First off, let's hear it for the bride and groom!" she cheered, her radiant smile lighting up the room.

"I've known Y/N for years, and let me tell you, she's stubborn as hell. And Kenma? Well, he's not much better. Honestly, we've all been waiting for this day for what feels like forever.

But jokes aside, watching the two of you has been like watching a love story come to life. Y/N, you deserve all the happiness in the world, and Kenma, you better keep delivering it."

Rin raised her glass, winking at you. "To Y/N and Kenma—the two people who made all of us believe that sometimes, love really is worth the wait."

By the end of the night, the party was in full swing. Laughter filled the air, drinks flowed freely, and the dance floor was packed with your friends and family. As you sat outside with Kenma, looking up at the stars, you couldn't help but marvel at how far you'd come.

"Crazy to think all of this started because of a blind date," you murmured, leaning your head against his shoulder.

Kenma chuckled, pressing a kiss to your temple. "Sometimes, the best things happen when you least expect them."

And as you sat there, surrounded by love and laughter, you realized just how true that was. One blind date had changed everything, leading you to a life—and a love—you never could've imagined.
