"Are you okay Raegan?" asks Silvia.

I switch my focus away from the road outside the bakery, and back to Silvia who is standing behind the counter in my cafe.

"Yes, I'm fine, are you okay?" I ask.

"I'm fine, is that table okay though? This is the 100th time in an hour you've cleaned the same thing,"

I look down at the table below me, which is sparkling now from the amount of times I have cleaned and polished it. I had thought I wasn't being obvious, but apparently I was.

"Oh yeah, I'm just looking at how nice it is outside today," I lie.

"Are you looking for someone? Maybe I don't know, a Formula 1 driver? One you used to date, and never thought to mention to your favourite colleague." she wiggles her eyebrows at me.

"No, no... I mean, sort of yes. He's popping in for a coffee today. I text him after the ice hockey last night, my brother told me to, he said it would be best if we were at least friends, so I thought, why not so I text him and invited him for coffee. So I wouldn't say I'm looking out for him, maybe his car, but yeah." I ramble.

"You were at the hockey, with your boyfriend Hugo, and whilst you was there you text your ex-boyfriend and invited him to your workplace for coffee? That doesn't make much sense Rae."

"Well, Hugo wasn't there, he had to leave straight after the game, so I got an icecream with Ben and that's when I did it."

"Okay, okay, fun. Well, he won't turn up any quicker if you're just standing and waiting."

She has a point, I check the time. It's 1:30pm, he'll be here within half an hour, if he keeps to his time schedule. He never was on time, chronically late. So maybe he won't be here for another hour.

I decide to put myself to use and go into the office to do some work and to try and distract myself whilst I wait for him to turn up.

Why am I so nervous, I lived with him for over two years.
