A/N:     Let's see Neveah's side. Maybe you'll feel for her 🤔

Neveah POV

The horror and look of betrayal on my old trainer's face breaks me. Valentino smirks and pulls Angel away.

Hurt turns into fury on his face as he curses me to the deepest darks of hell. "YOU FUCKING TRAITOR! I TRUSTED YOU, NEVEAH!" Angel's voice cracks and tears threaten to fall from his eyes but he doesn't let them and I think that makes all this hurt so much.

I snap, "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND AND YOU DON'T EVEN WANT TO!" Anger boils inside me and Angel's face doesn't form into pity in any way.

"YOU EXPECT PITY, BUT ALL YOU'RE GONNA GET IS KARMA."

"Ladies, ladies. No need to fight now," Valentino sneers, a smirk taking place on his face. He throws Angel into the backseat of the vehicle, clasps around his wrists. He closes the door and holds my chin. "Good job, Maria. It is too bad you don't want to work anymore but I guess it doesn't matter. You were never as good anyway." His words hurt considering he had always told me I was so much better.

I knew he didn't mean it, but it still hurts.

"Bye, bye, Maria. Hope your misery doesn't get you killed." He laughs, evilly, heading into the backseat with Angel.

The vans filled with the target guests drive away, Valentino's car leading the way to the newly built studio's. I look around to see the people that were protecting the Hazbin Hotel surrounding it. Obviously not everyone is there because we took half of them- Cherri Bomb, Vaggie, Emery, Octavia, Hilda, and most importantly, according to Adam and Valentino, Misty.

The ones that are left -which is kind of a lot- Rosie, Charlie Morningstar, Lucifer Morningstar, Arackniss, Niffty, Octavia's family of eight or nine, Raymond, and more guards of Husk's casino, all group together. No one else of the exorcist army is left except me and the group comes towards me slowly.

"Don't move." Lucifer demands. I literally can't move as his power stops me from moving an inch. The group surrounds me.

"Please. I don't want any harm. I'm done, I've gotten what I came for." I know I can't take them on so I try to pry my way out with words.

"Well we haven't, so you're stuck with us." Arackniss  growls. I hold my hands up and his continues, "you know where that bitch took my brother and you're gonna help us."

I narrow my eyes, "and why would I do that?"

"Because you just helped our enemy take some of our strongest allies and my brother." He snaps.

I roll my eyes, "you should've worked harder to keep him then."

Charlie gives me a pitiful look, "I know you care for Angel, but so do we. We all want him back.. along with the others." Arachniss scoffs and glares at me.

My bottom lip trembles. I don't want to loose myself again like I did with Valentino. "I don't want to go back to him. There's a reason I left, and there is no way I'm going back," I snap.

Charlie takes a step to me, "Please! He has my girlfriend! You can't just leave Angel either! He trusted you!" She cries, pleading.

Those words jab me in the heart like a knife. "Yeah, well, he doesn't anymore." I clench my fist and turn around. "As for your girlfriend and others? I couldn't care less. I hurt Angel, and helping him will only hurt him more."

"You don't know that!" The girl named Octavia says out of no where.

"You don't understand, he'll never forgive me." My eyes start to water and I quickly wipe them away.

I start to walk away when they don't say anything.

...

"You're right. He won't forgive you, Neveah, but the little things matter." Charlie perks up, anguish seeping into her voice, "this is actually a big thing. He won't trust you or forgive you right away, but that's something you have to earn. You broke his trust."

"You think I don't fucking know that?" My walk quickens.

She sighs, "I know you know. I just want you to help him. And us. If we work together- you could do something great!"

"No."

I run away. I expect at least one of them to follow me, but they don't, and I don't look back. I run as far away as I can. Away from the hotel, away from the studios, everything.

Hoping to get lost in town, I walk through the streets. I found my hooded sweater and pull the hood over my head.

I stop behind a line when I accidentally run into someone.

"Hey! Watch where you're going! There's a line!" A demon snaps. I look up to apologize and see something I swore I never wanted to see again. I guess it was a given, my feet would take me back...

...back to his casino.

I wait in line for what seems like an hour and get in. I ask one of the servers to see the one in charge.

I wait in the lobby of the casino, cold. Not from the temperature, necessarily, but from the feeling of loss. I keep my head down. I know what happened at the hotel was televised- I see it on the tv. I can't bear to see myself betraying Angel again. One time is enough.

The casino feels empty, waitresses and other workers rushing between floors and rooms. "Can I help you? Sorry for the wait, we're very busy." I turn around to see Fredrick ruffling through a stack of papers.

I'm stunned into silence, and when I don't answer, he looks up. He freezes when he sees me. Anger flares into his eyes after a moment and guards tackle me to the ground.

My elbow hits the ground, sending a painful vibration up my arm, successfully knocking me out of hesitation. "What the hell!" I elbow the guard on top of me, sliding my way out from under them.

"Stop!" Fredrick shouts. My hesitation gives the guards enough time to grab my wrists and hold me still. "Tell me where Husk is." He snaps.

I roll my eyes, "not telling you" Sneering, I mock him.

"Then why are you here?" He snarls.

"I-" I cut off, not knowing what to say.

"Tell me!" He demands.

"I don't know!" I snap.

He rolls his eyes, chuckling darkly. "How do you not know?" I narrow my eyes and the guards roughly pull me into another room. "Tell me where Husk is. I know you know."

"He's with Valentino, obviously." I roll my eyes, he's still an idiot all right. "I don't know what he plans to do with him, or Misty. All I know is that he wanted Angel back."

"And you're going to help us get them back. I know you turned down Charlie, but help us."

A/N:     I'm thinking of creating a sequel about Neveah's past, but I'm not sure when to start. Thanks for reading!
