A/N: Hello, and thanks for taking the time to look at the chapter. I didn't really know what to name this chapter so just bear with me. I'm sorry this took longer than a week to come out, summer has been super busy so far! Also,- writer's block is a bitch, people.
Husk POV
I walk through the casino with Misty close behind me. Fredrick's sick so she's my secretary for today. She has my schedule on an iPad in her hands and she goes through everything.
"You are scheduled to have an appointment with Rosie and Alastor-"
"Husk!!" I hear some person call my name and my gaze goes to a crazy looking demon. I look at Raymond who immediately takes care of it. "Please! I need-"
Raymond shuts the demon up and Misty doesn't skip a beat, getting back to reading: "They wanted to meet you at a new restaurant."
I thought we agreed tomorrow? "Today's not Wednesday?"
Misty hums, "No, they wanted to move it to today because Rosie has things planned for tomorrow and she wants to tell you something." I hum.
"Right. When is that?" A waitress hands me a drink and I take a sip.
"During dinner, still. Six-fifteen." I nod.
"Okay, well-"
The same demon as before crashes into Misty and pushes her into me. I turn around quickly and I wrap my arms around her to pull her away from the demon that falls onto the ground. "Ow- fuck-" he curses to himself as he smacks his head on the ground.
My drink splashes the demon and he gets sprayed with the glass that shattered. He huffs, getting up with much effort.
He tries to wipe off the extra glass but it tears into his skin and he flinches. I growl, "Don't touch her."
He immediately stops trying to get the glass off as it just digs deeper into his skin. He smiles tightly, "I didn't mean to. Your guard was handling me very viciously. I want him fired." He talks as if he owns the place. What a spoiled brat.
I smile in amusement, "No."
He blinks in surprise, "what? But we work together! You wouldn't want your biggest partner to break our bond over a guard!" He snarls and my smile widens in amusement, almost turning to laughter.
"What bond? I don't even know you. Besides how would you know who the partner business is to this casino? Let alone the biggest." I sneer in his face.
His eyes flash in anger, "you fucking bastard!"
He chokes at my grasp around his neck. The ground trembles and I bear my teeth in a dark, menacing smile, "Me? The bastard? You storm into my casino and expect to have everything handed to you. I don't know you."
He narrows his eyes in annoyance, "Of course you do! We talked a few weeks ago!"
I laugh viciously, "You were talking to one of my secretaries. I don't talk to small-fucks like you unless you have something that I want."
He snarls, "I talked to you on the phone-"
"You called him because he had tried to blow up part of Phantom Melody. Unsuccessfully, might I add," Misty cuts in, "he was mad that you hadn't responded to a text the night before." She finishes to me.
I turn back to the demon that I now know, "Ah yes. I definitely remember you now." It was a hopeless fight, we caught him right away but he still got bombs planted and started wrecking with the construction.
