Narrators Pov.

Dagur’s boat captain stood proudly as his fellow Berserkers cheered around him, his Chief holding up his arm after announcing that they had finally found the Skrill. The dragon of their people. “However!” Dagur always loved to be the bearer of bad news, especially when he got to be the one beating the snot out of the person who caused it. “It’s just such a shame that he failed to retrieve it for me, along with the added bonus of my fiancé being the one to prevent him from bringing it back here, along with the fact that he failed to capture her!!!” He began to laugh, shaking his head looking down at the ground, his hand trailing down his face, his smile lost turned to a frown. Dagur grew angrier with every mention of his love, kicking the much larger Viking captain to the floor and snarling at him.

How hard could it have been really? Just knock out Y/N’s dragon, get her and get as far away from the other dragon riders as possible! Dagur was certain he could do it if he was there, but of course, everything always goes wrong when he’s not involved. “For centuries, the Skrill has represented the Berserkers’ pride and strength as a tribe! Now that Hiccup has both it, and your future Chieftess all to himself, we’ll just have to go to Berk! Rip the Skrill and my bride from his scrawny little hands! And destroy anyone that gets in our way!!!” Dagur roared into the sea of screaming, shouting and cheering Berserkers. He grinned at the reaction of his subjects, envisioning a time a few hours from now with him being able to hold his love to his chest, kiss her and telling her just how much he adored his love and how he would never ever let anything take her- take you away agian.

Your pov.

I sat there watching as Bloodborne played with the water or something in the water as I ate an apple. Hearing the crash of the ocean against the nearby rocks was calming as I contemplated what to do. What next to tell Hiccup, how to keep myself calm. How can I be happy again with the thing I thought was going to make me happy just dangling there but a very tattered rope out of reach because of all the obstacles in the way. I whistled, gaining Bloodborne's attention but he just let out a roar of curiosity, stopping his paw in the water again as he showed me he wanted me over there. I reluctantly walked over. Laughing as I peered into the water my eyes widened a dragon in the water. I walked forward deeper into the water about knee deep now. Glad i dont have the fur boots most people have. The dragon came prancing out of the water.

Her body was smooth and slimy almost as she had rougher scales on her back and under her eyes around her paws. She was a deep dark blue lighter hints and white dots that seemed to glow as the light hit her the rougher parts of her skin were gray as a couple scratches and scars seemed more visible. She let out a growl but instantly got a defensive one from Bloodborne. Her pupils were white as a lighter hue of a bright glowing turquoise and a dark hue for the rest of her eyes. She was built for the water, clearly given her wing shape and the fins at the end of her little legs and rough seemingly extremely hard spines on her back they spreaded out and clamped together as she seemed to be communicating with Bloodborne. Her tail swayed as she raised it, shaking it slightly. I noticed the luminescent dots that lined her spines all the way down to her tail fins. After a little while she perked up and gave me an amused sound from her throat.

“Hey pretty girl. You got a cut on your paw. Can I see it?” I spoke softly as she lifted up her paw licking at it. I opened up a small satchel on Bloodborne, spending a second to get the cap off. And grabbing a little placing it gently around the wound wrapping it up with some bandages just to cover it. She licked my face gently as I giggled. I walked back to Bloodborne putting the stuff I didn't use back into his little bag. She came prancing back over sniffing me. I extended a cautious hand and she sniffed at it before she let out an excited sound. Licking at it. Looks like I have another dragon. I petted along her neck getting a feel of the less scally pits only to feel rough scales underneath the layer of slime so that's good. “So what do you do?” she wobbled as gills i hadn't felt on her neck flapped concealing herself. “So you can breathe on land and in water?” she nodded- smart cookie- she powered up her blast.

Something I had seen Bloodborne do a million times. A blue long blast looks like highly concentrated water made to- acid almost. As it is a nearby rock. “Acidic water? Huh” i wrote it down in a little notebook hiccup had given me years ago notes on every dragon i've ever encountered in it. She flew off diving into the water without a splash. A wave was soon formed as she came closer, a very large wave not directed at us hitting and destroying a nearby rock, a smaller one followed that just kinda knocked over a bush. “You can make tidal waves now, that is certainly interesting!” she came prancing over. I rubbed at her and she let out an excited happy sound. She seems very expressive. Her tail slightly splashed around in the water. I jotted both things down. Maybe it's her thing or her entire species but either way it's interesting. Bloodborne let out an unhappy grumble and I giggled petting him too.

She came around me giving him alick on the head awww okay so they are definitely a little thing i watched as he melted watching her walk back over to my otherside. “Now to name you. What about… stone.” she gave me a look and splashed me with her tail so definitely not. “Blue?” she went to splash me again. “Okay okay i get it! Something to do with your water and your personality, how about Tidal?” She stayed silent for a moment before licking my hand excitedly nudging the little book so I wrote it down at the top of the book. “Aren't you sweetheart, Tidal.” she let out an amused laugh almost. Yeha she’ll fit right in. I looked at the sky. “We've been out here awhile, why don't we head back to Berk?” Bloodborne nodded as I mounted him. I'll have to make a harness and saddle for Tidal as well, just like Bloodbornes and teach her how to take off hers as well. I was expecting her to fly but when she flew up with us diving into the water.

Bloodborne flew down grazing the water looking for her. I saw her swimming up ahead as her wings were in a position that cut through the water. Her body wiggled back and forth must be why her tail moves as much as it does because she swims with it. We flew back to Berk. Tidal stayed by the shore not quite happy about more humans. Bloodborne followed as I told Tidal to stay and that we’d get her if we went somewhere.

Whilst flying over berk to find a good place to land i saw something that made my blood run cold. As I faced the dragon arena, I noticed small sparks of light coming from it. I turned me and Bloodborne around to land on the sideline and an explosion was heard exactly where you’d just seen the sparks of light. It really was never easy. “Well! I’m gonna start packing my bags because as soon as Dagur gets a hold of that Skrill, It’ll be bye bye Berk, hello Berserker Island.” I got a grumble form Bloodborne at my poor taste of a joke. In reality I was just trying to make an otherwise stressful situation slightly more humorous but doing an awful job at it. I landed. Ready to scold or maybe kill someone or something. But my eyes widened when the skrill nudged at me. The same one I had let go of how it got frozen in ice was a mystery to me. “Go i'll find you.” I whispered Skrills are loyal creatures and like Bloodfurys often imprint on something they chose to protect.

Unlike Blood Furys however they are timid and often struggle to find something to imprint on.

Astrid came running around the corner, the Skrill already gone “It’s alright, Y/N. We just have to get to it before Dagur and his armada do, right?” Astrid tried her best to calm me, patting my shoulder and trying to reason with me. I smiled as we walked away quietly thanking Astrid, “Well if we’re gonna do it, then best we leave now. Y/N, are you coming or not?” Hiccup asked, the look in his eyes clearly telling me he didn’t particularly want me to go. But I wanted to be personally there to make sure that Skrill didn’t fall into the wrong hands, and i'm not risking another incident like the one that had just happened with the twins and Snotlout. “Of course I’m going. Think I’ll just let you do all the hero work yourselves? Your still my kid brother i'm not that easy.'' I snorted at him, flicking his forehead climbing onto Bloodborne. “Then we have no time to lose, if I know Dagur he’s already on the hunt for the Skrill again.” Hiccup nodded to me, giving me honestly less confidence in this mission before we all took to the skies.
