I huffed as we were now on the ground knowing the first thing it was going for was food but it instead got upset when Snotlout put a hand on my shoulder hitting him away with its tail and I looked at the dragon. She was female. She roared blasting a protective string of lightning causing the others to take off to the skies. As I followed the skrill following me, flying off I followed her trying to corral her to land, Tidal below in the water. I almost instantly regretted my decision as I saw the Berserker symbol below. The Skrill let out a frustrated roar as it considered its options, flying towards a large number of Boats with humans on them or flying towards a few dragons also with humans on them.

It looked over to me for some reason probably to weigh out its options so I gave it a small rub.  “Surprise surprise Hiccup!” Dagur cackled, watching me as I swooped to avoid a net from the ship, the skrill following dodging it, “Y/N, my love! Have you missed me??” I momentarily completely ignored his words. “Now, Hiccup, get your tiny little hands off my Skrill…” I couldn’t see Dagur’s expression as he said this from having to dodge out of the way of boulders and arrows, but you could feel the instability resonating all the way from up in the air.

A shriek sounded as I ducked out of the way of a particularly large boulder that soared over my head and into Meatlug’s mouth. “You ok??” Fishlegs asked, noticing my hand on your chest as you sat back up. “Yeah! I’m good!” I said gratefully. I looked around my eyes tracing the skrill who got separated from my side. Making his way back over. “Don't fire at her you morons!” Dagur screamed, waving his ax around to make a point to his men who all flinched. “Aim for the Night Fury!!! If you so much as scratch her with anything, consider yourself Skrill food!!”

“Oh look at that, he does care!” Snotlout sarcastically shouted at me, “Would you do something about your deranged boyfriend Y/N?!” He continued, clearly aggravated at the continued assault from the Berserker fleet and Skrill combined. I flew over to the skrill. I really need to name her and calm her down. Wait a minute what did snotlout say, “Snotlout!” My face scrunched up into a scowl, face now a ruby red. Even as Bloodboren flipped over arrows I was still glaring at him with an intensity that spoke of what I would have done if you were closer to him.

“Alright, point taken. Come on Hookfang! Let’s get out of here before they reload!” Snotlout flushed slightly from having a girl stare at him for so long, flying away on Hookfang with myself behind him.I took a quick look back at the fleet of ships, accidentally making eye contact with Dagur as I did so. I let out a small exclamation and instantly turned back around, my face flushing. I was probably as red as a potato.

Dagur gripped the side of the ship, feeling splinters of wood break beneath his large, calloused hands. His face brightened as he saw his love retreating figure look back at him, letting out an excited giggle to himself. “Look at her, your future Chieftess. She’s so perfect. I need to take her back to Berserker Island with me, no matter what.” Dagur’s captain was slightly taken aback by the dreamlike trance he seemed to be in before quickly snapping out of it to turn to his men. “The same goes for the Skrill. A dragon that can go head-to-head with Hiccup and his Nightfury…they will both. Be mine whether they like it or not.” Dagur growled, standing proud while looking back at his loves dragon flying away.

He made a vow to himself at that moment. As soon as he next caught even a glimpse ofher, he’d be straight after you to bring you to your rightful place at his side.

Your pov.
With the Berserker fleet reduced to the size of ants in the distance, myself and the others landed on a cliff.  “Snotlout? You ok?” I looked over after Astrid asked, turning to both of them with slight concern. “I didn’t think I scared him that bad?” I asked, looking slightly worried. Surely my glare hadn’t upset him? This was Snotlout, he regularly gets glared at and worse and doesn’t bat an eye. He then proceeded to glare straight at me and make the strangest array of noises you’d ever heard. My mouth opened out of pure quizzical concern. Astrid and myself just stared at him for a few seconds. “What?” I leaned closer to him, wondering if maybe my hearing was off. Then he made the same noises.

“W-wha…? Anyone understand what he’s saying?” I asked, stifling a laugh with my hand and looking at Hiccup.“He got hit by a lightning bolt, so I have no idea.” Your brother replied, sending you into a fit of hysterical laughter as I curled over to brace myself on Bloodborne's neck. Snotlout clearly didn’t like this and started hurling incomprehensible insults towards me, which served to only make me even more hysterical with laughter. “He says shut it or I’ll set Hookfang on you.” Tuffnut spoke up, making you peer up from where you were hunched over, wiping a tear from your eye. “You understand him?” I asked in bewilderment, “I speak post lightning Snotlout!” Tuffnut answered, clearly proud of this incredibly weird skill of his.

I wheezed, covering my face with my hands as Hiccup shook his head. I seemed to always get like this when something unfortunate happened to Snotlout. Mostly because he never seemed to let any of it bother him, which just made it all the more hilarious. I couldn't contain myself until I heard a scratch from above. The skrill landed behind me wrapping her body protectively around me and Bloodborne. “Awh!” I hummed petting her cautiously. She seems fine with it though. “Now then to name you.” I hummed tilting my head. “How about Starlight?” She leaned into me happily with the name. “Starlight it is.” Snotlout began to let out more nonsensical jabbering as funny as it still was. I kept my laughter down, “So how many times has he been hit by lightning?” I asked. “12? Oh, twelve times.” Tuffnut translated, receiving another rather aggressive slur from Snotlout, translating it to “He says, enough talk! Dagur’s all mine. Also, Tuffnut is the toughest of us all! He, uh, implied that last part- OW!!” Tuffnut yelped as Ruffnut punched him in the arm.

“Pfffffffft-“ Y/N you have to hold it in!! I scolded myself.  “Y/N I swear to Thor!” Hiccup I assume was scolding me for the fact I kept laughing while the Berserker fleet was still so close.“Ok! Ok, I’m done. I’m done.” I reassured him, taking some deep breaths and patting my chest with a smile. “No not that!” He pointed towards Starlight. I looked, “Oh yeah, guys this is the same skrill from my hunts apparently she liked me enough so meet Starlight!” I said as Starlight let out a little growl I continued to pet her. “Calm down, they're just friends.” She perked up slightly relaxing. Hiccup groaned but accepted that now he had the dragon Dagur was continuously hunting, “Astrid, you take Snotlout and Fishlegs to keep the Berserker fleet at bay. Whilst me, Y/N head back to try and keep Dagur away from the Skrill and lead it- lead her back to Berk.” Hiccup told her, clearly keeping me away from the Berserkers for fear of both me or Starlight getting captured.

We all nodded in agreement before once again, all the dragons bursting into the air. Tidal seemed to follow after the roar Bloodborne let out, Starlight looked down seeing the dragon and roared greeting her. “Ok boy, let’s be careful around this ship!” I instructed patting Bloodborne as Toothless dodged multiple strikes from the aggravated Skrill. I managed to fly closer, Tidal launching a rain of her acidic water from her mouth that just about missed the hunters on the ship but kept them at bay from launching arrows at Starlight or me. “Tuffnut! Ruffnut! Make as much gas as you can in the clouds, then when you go to the other side of the, ignite it! Y/N you lead the skrill to Berk whilst i cover them!” Hiccup ordered as we made a break for the cloud line. The twins sped after it and yourself after them, avoiding Barf’s gas and just flying above them.

“Hold on, Belch! Not yet! Y/N, get ready to see something MAGNIFICENT!!!” Tuffnut announced, Ruffnut turning around to me and giving me a thumbs up. I grinned at them and nodded, Bloodborne turning around as you exited the cloud lining, watching as the clouds exploded with Barf and Belch’s fire.

I whooped with them before seeing Hiccup and Toothless blasting a bolder and bevy of arrows that were after us, shouting at the twins to follow them as Bloodborne sped up leading Starlight. “Where did the ships go? WOAH!!” A catapulted rock made the hair on my neck stand up on end, Bloodborne spinning out of the way and me almost actually falling off the saddle myself. “Steady boy! Steady!” I patted him as he shook his head, growling at the ships below and speeding back off into the sky just in time to get near Hiccup and the twins.

I gasped as Toothless’ plasma blast collided with a huge lightning strike from the Skrill, both of them aiming for a boulder headed straight for me. My vision went blurry and I felt the wind rushing through my hair as I held tightly to Bloodborne's saddle. We smashed into the deck of a Berserker ship violently. Flying off and colliding with the deck just by a Berserker soldier’s feet.
