Sparrow- With their natural beauty and lively presence, sparrows carry profound symbolism that resonates with our lives in countless ways. They symbolize resilience, adaptability, joy, community, freedom, protection, and hope.
The hope to adapt and build resistance is soon needed to come for some one!
I pased storming back and forth rather aggressively in my own hut that sat at the top of the clif above the clubhouse on the edge. The last few weeks went by a blur. After some more life-threatening situations where we were almost eaten, terrorized by local dragons on our new island home, and Fishlegs was hypnotized into becoming the exact opposite of his usual personality -Thor Bonecrusher- I was finally you coming to grips with life - quite literally - on The Edge. Or Dragon’s Edge as it was appropriately named.
My hut was rather visible much to my own displeasure but i needed somewhere where Tidal and Starlight could come and go so with the hatch for a roof that Hiccup and Fishlegs helped me design both were able to do that rather easily along with beams going every which direction for my dragons to hang off of a rather common sleeping position for the fury species and a flat bit for Stain to sleep on the roof because she likes to look over everything. I sighed calming myself down from the rather annoying letter I had gotten from a friend of mine, a dragon hunter friend of mine who took rather well to me whilst I was out traveling. When I saved his big brother's hind from a stormcutter.
I groaned, leaving it for now as I along with Starlight made our way to Hiccup's place. I walked in rather nonchalantly and perched myself on Hiccup’s chest in his hut while staring intently at the Dragon Eye. He was fiddling with it and testing out different flames and patterns for the gems while muttering to himself. I didn’t mind the little narration he was having though considering I don't think he even noticed me. “So Monstrous Nightmare lens, plus Nightfury equals… Nothing!” He finished with an unsurprised tone as the Dragon Eye failed to produce any sort of result from mixing two dragon types. You gave a small hum of disappointment before jumping as the door to the hut swung open and Astrid stormed in.
“Woah! Astrid class!” I laughed, unaware of the issue she came with.
“Guys, we have a problem. A huge problem!” She announced, glancing behind her. Every few seconds. I instantly shot up from the chest in a slight panic. “Dagur??” Hiccup asked quickly with a small voice crack. I groaned, we had been anticipating his return ever since I last saw him and were determined to get to him first. “Worse!” she shouted, me and Hiccup exchanged a confused look “What could possibly be worse than Dagur??” Hiccup asked Astrid before having his question answered with the violent arrival of one very familiar looking Monstrous Nightmare and younger Viking riding him. “Gustav!!!” He proudly announced himself while picking himself up from draping over Fanghook’s neck after the crash landing.
“Gustav?!” Both me and Hiccup gave each other looks as we said his name that clearly communicated we were not in the mood to be dealing with this kid’s shenanigans again. “Gustav…” Astrid joined in our mutual disappointment. Hiccup quickly passed the Dragon Eye to me behind his back, which I then hid in the gap between the chest and wall, so it was just out of sight. I sighed while sitting atop the chest again just to make sure Gustav didn’t get any glances of it. Odin knows what he’d do if he got a hold of it. Best case scenario he ends up destroying The Edge and worst-case scenario he ends up destroying the entire world.
I gave a displeased look as Fanghook started annoying Starlight and Toothless, who both hissed at him. Not with aggression, i knew Starlight didn’t see Fanghook as a threat. It was more like a younger brother annoying his older sister and getting told to go away, just with dragons. Something I could relate to sometimes.
