"Kacchan, I-"
"I have to go, Tinkerbelle," Katsuki sighed, throwing the truck into park.
"Yes, but I don't," Izuku said, opening his door and jumped out.
He still couldn't believe that Katsuki had done this to him, putting him on the spot like that in front of his family.
What was he supposed to say when his mother suddenly burst into tears? Say no? Seriously?
The woman had practically tackled him and strangled the life out of him when he'd reluctantly agreed to go.
He also couldn't afford this trip or to take any time off.
Gosh, what the hell was he supposed to do?
He'd told Katsuki's mother that he would go, but he had no money, no time off and a large credit card payment to make at the end of the month.
He wasn't going to be able to go, which meant that he'd lied to his boyfriend's mother the first night that he'd met her.
This did not bode well for their relationship.
"You promised my mother that you'd go," Katsuki said, joining him in front of the truck.
"No, you promised your mother that I would go," he felt obligated to point out as they walked up to the front door.
"I distinctly remember you telling my mother that you would go," Katsuki said, reaching past him to open the door for him.
"You mean when she was crying hysterically as she clung to me, thanking God for sending me to her?" he snapped back, rolling his eyes in disgust at his boyfriend's betrayal.
"Deku, it still counts," Katsuki said, shooting him a grin as he reached down and took his small hand into his.
"No," he said, sighing heavily as he pulled his hand free and pulled his keys out of his pocket, "It doesn't."
"It really does," Katsuki said, taking the keys out of Izuku's hand and unlocking the door for him.
"Think again," he said, taking his keys back from Katsuki and tossed them on the table by the door. "I'm not going."
"You really are."
"Nope," Izuku said, walking towards the back hall. He gestured towards the kitchen as he walked past the open door.
"There's leftover spaghetti if you're hungry," he said, guessing that Katsuki was starving since he hadn't eaten a single bite of the delicious meal that his mother had made.
Then again, neither had his father...
"I'll heat some up in a bit," Katsuki said, following Izuku into his bedroom. "First, we're going to discuss our plans for the trip."
Izuku sighed as he kicked off his shoes. "We're not going on a trip," he reminded Katsuki as he pulled off his shirt.
"Yes," Katsuki retaliated, reaching back and grabbing a handful of his own shirt, "We are."
Izuku shook his head as he reached down and unbuttoned his pants.
"Katsuki," he said, sighing his name as he dropped his pants on the floor and walked into the bathroom, "I can't go, so please just let it go."
"Why not?" Katsuki asked, following him into the bathroom as he shoved his own pants down.
Izuku hooked his thumbs in his boxers and opened his mouth to tell Katsuki exactly why he couldn't go when something occurred to him.
"Umm, what are you doing?" he asked, pointedly looking at Katsuki's hands, which were currently pulling down his own boxers.
Katsuki blinked innocently at Izuku's chest as he said, "Continuing our conversation?"
Shaking his head, he turned around and pulled the curtain open. "You don't need to be naked to continue this conversation."
"No," Katsuki murmured thoughtfully, "but it helps."
Too tired to argue with his stubborn boyfriend, Izuku pushed his boxers off and climbed in the shower, uncaring if Katsuki followed him inside.
They hadn't seen each other naked since that morning when he'd woken up to find Katsuki lying on top of him, apparently pinning him to the bed so that he couldn't do anything questionable during his drugged out state.
"It will be fun," Katsuki said as he stepped inside the shower behind Izuku, pausing by his side long enough to press a kiss against his shoulder.
"I'm sure you'll have a great time with your family, Kacchan," he said, licking his lips and trying to pretend that the feel of Katsuki's lips on his bare skin didn't make his breath catch.
"Not unless you're there, Tink," Katsuki said, moving his lips along his shoulder. "Please come with me, Deku," he asked softly as he wrapped his arms around Izuku's waist and pulled him against him.
Izuku opened his mouth to argue with Katsuki, but that 'please' undid him, so the only thing that came out of his mouth was, "I can't. I just can't."
"Why not, sweetheart?" Katsuki asked, turning his head so that he could press another kiss against Izuku's neck. "I can't do this without you, Izuku. Please don't make me do this without you."
He opened his mouth to tell him no, but somehow he found himself saying, "I'll ask, but I can't make any promises."
"Thank you," Katsuki whispered, pressing another one of those kisses to his shoulder that he was really starting to love.
He closed his eyes and leaned back into Katsuki's touch and felt himself relax for the first time all day.
He'd ask and his boss would say no, but at least he could say that he'd tried.
Then Katsuki would go on his trip, Izuku would stay here and miss him, those two weeks would be difficult, but he'd get through it. Then when Katsuki came back he would-
