"Wake up," a deep, sexy voice that Izuku vaguely recognized said, drawing him away from his dream just as things were getting good, adding to his frustration.
He cracked one eye open to see who it was, only to promptly close it and say, "Get out."
"Sorry, sweetheart, but we're not leaving until we have a talk," Tenya's cousin, Mirio said.
"Out," he grumbled, hugging the throw pillow as he turned over and snuggled beneath his blanket, determined to return to the dream where Katsuki was making all his fantasies come true.
"Let's go, Izuku. Rise and shine," Tenya said as his comfy blanket was suddenly yanked away from him.
He blindly reached for it, managing to grab it only to end up getting dragged off the couch- where he fell asleep after doing work for the library.
He landed on the floor with an oof. He opened his eyes to find Tenya and Mirio standing over him, casually sipping their coffee as they regarded him with twin expressions of amusement.
"Now that you're up, we can have ourselves a little chat," Tenya said, sitting on the couch that Izuku had been happily sleeping on less than a minute ago.
Sighing, he stood up and brushed off his clothes and said, "Get out."
With that, he headed to the bathroom.
Ten minutes later, his teeth and hair were brushed, his face was washed, he'd relieved himself and he was positive that his unwanted guests had shown themselves to the door.
"Ready for that talk now, princess?" Tenya asked as he opened his bathroom door.
"No, so get out," Izuku said around a yawn as he headed to his kitchen.
He didn't have to look back to know that he was being followed by two large annoying men.
While he pointedly ignored them and started making tea for himself- the only thing that would save them from a brutal death- they sat at the table and sipped their coffee.
Accepting the fact that they weren't leaving anytime soon and used to dealing with men hanging out in his apartment, he pulled out all the ingredients to make pancakes and set to work.
"We want to know what your intentions toward our cousin are," Mirio announced, taking a sip of coffee as he watched him work.
He stopped mid-whisk and looked up to find both men staring at him intently. "You can't be serious."
"Very," Tenya said evenly.
Mirio nodded firmly in agreement.
"You do realize that I've only been on one date with him, don't you?" he asked as he turned on his electric griddle and dropped a spoonful of butter on the surface.
"Four dates," Tenya said distractedly as he watched Izuku work.
"What are you doing?" Mirio asked, licking his lips hungrily as the butter began to melt.
"Making pancakes," he answered, wondering why they felt the need to have the 'talk' with him.
"For us?" Tenya asked, sitting up straighter in his chair and pushing his glasses further up his nose as he watched Izuku spoon batter onto the hot surface.
"Well, that depends," he said, watching them closely as he leaned back against the counter and crossed his arms over his chest.
"On what?" Mirio asked, barely able to take his eyes off the griddle as the pancake batter rose.
"On whether or not Ochaco knows that you're here," he said, watching their reaction closely.
When Tenya winced, he had his answer.
"I see," he murmured thoughtfully as he walked over to the kitchen island and picked up his cell phone.
"What are you doing?" Tenya asked nervously.
"Nothing much," he murmured, searching through his contacts until he found Ochaco's phone number.
After he sent Ochaco a quick text, he realized that he didn't have Katsuki's phone number, but that wasn't a problem.
He flipped the pancakes, waited until they were done and then split them between two plates. After he added more butter and batter to the griddle, he walked out of the kitchen.
He wasn't surprised when the men didn't follow this time since Mirio was busy devouring both plates of pancakes while Tenya did a half-assed job of explaining to his wife through his own cellphone why he'd dragged someone out of sleep.
He walked out his front door and across the hallway where he knocked on Katsuki's door.
A minute later, the man was standing in his doorway wearing a pair of unbuttoned jeans, a sleepy smile and looking incredibly sexy first thing in the morning.
"I just thought you should know that two of your cousins are in my apartment eating the pancakes that I'd planned on surprising you with," he said with a shrug before Katsuki had a chance to say anything.
Katsuki's sleepy smile quickly faded, only to be replaced with a grim frown a second later as he walked past him, pecking his forehead and headed straight for his apartment.
Izuku took his time following him ,deciding that it was probably for the best if he wasn't within throwing distance of them since he'd seen firsthand how badly things could end when the men in this family had a disagreement over food.
"Those are my pancakes, you bastard!"
"Ow!"
"Stop!"
"No, don't do-"
Seconds later, everything went quiet.
