"Oh, shit," Katsuki said, placing his hand over his stomach as he cringed in pain, startling Izuku into rushing to his side.
"Are you okay?" Izuku asked nervously, trying to resist the urge to move Katsuki's hand aside and place his over his scar so that he wasn't standing here feeling so damn helpless.
When Katsuki shook his head, Izuku opened his mouth to tell him that everything was going to be okay and that he was going to go get Masaru when he saw it.
The movement was small, but it was more than enough to let him know that the large bastard was faking it to save his ass, which shouldn't have amused him, but sadly, it did.
Katsuki shot another peek up at him to see if he was buying his bullshit story so of course Izuku decided to play along.
He wasn't exactly sure why he'd decided to play along with this little game of Katsuki's, but it probably had something to do with the fact that after five months, he was finally in a room alone with him without having to worry about nurses, doctors, orderlies and Bakugos walking in on them.
Speaking of Bakugos...
"Let's get you on the bed," he said softly with a reassuring smile that hKatsuki seemed to buy since he reluctantly nodded with a long drawn out sigh that nearly made Izuku roll his eyes.
Katsuki really had nothing on Tenya, who'd made making annoying sounds into an art form Izuku decided as he carefully rolled his wheelchair over to the bed that he'd found himself sleeping in not too long ago and set the breaks.
Keeping one hand pressed against Katsuki's stomach, Izuku slowly raised one leg and then the other and pushed the foot pedals aside so that Katsuki could place his feet on the floor.
As Katsuki stood up and carefully pivoted to the side so that he could lie down, he made another attempt at sounding pitiful, which nearly had Izuku sighing, because really, this was just pathetic.
"Are you okay? Can I get you anything?" he asked with a tender smile as he casually unlocked the wheelchair and rolled it to the other side of the hotel room, well out of reach.
"No, I'll be okay. I just need to lay here for a little while," Katuki said, making sure to sound appropriately miserable as he laid there with both hands over his stomach, groaning in misery as Izuku walked over to the door and casually set the locks, making sure that they weren't going to be disturbed.
"You poor thing," he said with a sympathetic frown as he turned around and headed back towards the bed where Katsuki now lay, groaning miserably even as he continued to sneak quick glances at him to see if he was still buying it.
"Why don't you close your eyes and take a nap?" he suggested, which of course earned a sigh of relief that Katsuki tried to bite back, but not fast enough.
"If you think it would help," the big Pomeranian said, sounding unhappy about it, but that little smile of satisfaction as he grabbed another pillow, stuffed it under his head and closed his eyes said otherwise.
Shaking his head, because Katsuki really just couldn't pull it off like Tenya could, Izuku double-checked the locks on the door. He reached over and dimmed the lights, idly wondering where they were. Not that he really cared, he thought as he ran an appreciative eye over Katsuki's body.
He should care about a lot of other things right now as well, like why they were there, why Masaru and Tenya felt the need to drug him, what day it was, why there was a wedding ring on his finger-
Okay, so he definitely cared about that one, Izuku decided as his gaze landed on the matching one on Katsuki's ring finger.
He paused halfway to the bed and glanced around the room, noting the two double beds that looked well used, the mini bar, the folded blankets and pillows on the end of the long couch behind him, the floor to ceiling curtains that were closed before finally returning to the man on the bed.
