"Katsuki! Stop!" Izuku yelled. "We're going to finish this once and for all!"
"Whatever!" Katsuki snapped, not even bothering to look back when he said it, which he paid for seconds later when Izuku broke out into a run, jumped on his back and took him down to the ground where the saddest wrestling match that Katsuki had ever witnessed took place.
"Shouldn't you help him?" Izuku asked, gesturing towards Ojiro and Rikido, just as Rikido managed to yank Ojiro's arm behind his back.
"No," he said since he was sure that his brothers had probably been fighting again over petty things.
"Can we talk?" Izuku asked, reaching out to take his hand with a slight hesitation that told him that the boy was expecting him to pull away.
As pissed as he was, Katsuki would never do anything to hurt Izuku.
As soon as Izuku's hand touched his, Katsuki closed his hand around his smaller one and gave it a gentle squeeze, letting Izuku know that everything was okay.
"I shouldn't have yelled at you," Katsuki said, sighing heavily as they watched his brothers kick each others asses. "I'm sorry."
"There's nothing to apologize for," Izuku said, giving him the out that he didn't deserve.
"Yes, there is," he said, not willing to take the easy way out of this one.
"I over-reacted and acted like an asshole. You never agreed to marry me, but I've been acting like it's a done deal and that's not fair to you."
"Thank you," Izuku murmured with a small nod and a wince when Ojiro reached down, grabbed hold of Rikido's nipple through his shirt and twisted it.
"Mother fucker!" Rikido roared as Katsuki bit back a yawn.
"You want to tell me why you don't want to marry me?" he asked, praying like hell that it wasn't because Izuku wasn't in love with him, because honestly, he wasn't sure if he could handle that kind of blow right now.
Not after hearing what his father had said.
Katsuki hadn't meant to eavesdrop, but after his mother had made a big deal out of him beating the shit out of her baby because he could end up paralyzing himself, he'd realized that Izuku had left.
Afraid that he'd scared the boy off, he went after him, only to find his Tinkerbelle talking to his father.. about the asshole.
Or rather, he heard his father talking to Tinkerbelle about his asshole of an ex-fiancé.
Katsuki still couldn't believe just how badly that piece of shit had fucked Izuku over.
What kind of a man does that to someone?
Not only does he dump Izuku, but he also leaves the boy destitute and responsible for cleaning up his mess?
There was no doubt in his mind that if he'd been home when he'd found out the extent of just how badly that piece of shit had fucked Izuku over, that Katsuki would probably at this very moment, be getting arrested for killing the bastard.
All those times that he watched Izuku deny himself something that he wanted, watched his Tinkerbelle settle for less and it was all because of that fucking loser.
When he'd realized just how incompetent and lacking the piece of shit had been in bed, he'd been pissed off on Izuku's behalf, angry that the boy had been with a man who hadn't appreciated him, but this...
This was too fucking much.
And Izuku had been willing to marry that fucking asshole?
That's the part that Katsuki really didn't understand.
The guy had been a fucking loser in every way possible- sucked in bed, been lacking downstairs and hadn't treated him the way that he'd deserved.
Now, Katsuki knew that it was actually so much worse.
According to his father, the guy was ugly, a piece of a scumbag who thought it was okay to steal from someone and ruin their lives just before he dumped their asses and his Tinkerbelle had dated that.
Not only that, but Deku had been willing to marry that fucking bastard, but not him...
That was the part that he couldn't understand.
It was also the part that made Katsuki feel like shit.
He was supposed to be the one for Izuku, the one that took care of him, made him happy, love him and...
Oh... fuck.
He love Izuku.
He fucking loves him.
"Shit," he said, dropping Izuku's hand, so that he could rub his hands roughly down his face, needing a moment to come to terms with this.
He hadn't felt anything like this before so he failed to realize...
"What's wrong?" Izuku asked, sounding concerned.
"Nothing," he said with a small shake of his head, not particularly happy with this revelation.
He didn't like this, not one fucking bit.
Izuku was the one who is supposed to fall in love with him, not the other way around.
This was HIS tactical plan!
Izuku was supposed to come to need him, want him and ultimately love him, so that he could marry the boy and have what his father, uncles and cousins had.
He wasn't supposed to fall in love with a small greenette who not only didn't love him, but also didn't want to marry him.
He needed Izuku to fall in love with him, so that his plan would be a success and Izuku would be all his.
"Tell me why you won't marry me," he said, taking a step back, needing the space to clear his head.
"It has nothing to do with you. I'm just not interested in marriage," Izuku explained with a wobbly smile that caught Katsuki's attention.
"You don't want to get married?" Katsuki asked casually, waiting for Izuku's answer and the confirmation that he needed as he quickly formatted a brand new tactical plan, one that would end with him getting exactly what he wanted.
It was risky and something that he'd told himself that he wouldn't do, but the stubborn freckled boy standing in front of him, searching for the right way to tell him that he wasn't interested in marrying him really wasn't leaving Katsuki with much of a choice now, was he?
Then again, Katsuki really shouldn't be shocked. The small man didn't seem to know what was good for him.
"No, I'm sorry. I'm just not interested in getting married," Izuku said softly as if that would somehow make it easier for Katsuki to accept.
It didn't, but it did make his decision to follow through with his new plan easier.
There was a real possibility that Izuku would never speak to him again after this, but...
What the hell, it would be worth it.
Izuku would be his forever and his Tinkerbelle would know, for the rest of his life that a man loves him- truly loves him and wanted him, then that was a risk that Katsuki was willing to take.
"I understand," Katsuki murmured absently as he reached down and took Izuku's hand in his, running several possibilities through his head as he repeated...
"I understand."
