Fall From Grace Part 3

It was rare for you to be scared after all the training that you went through, but here you were being afraid of what Kara would think of what you are wearing. You could feel your heart putting in your chest and your throat felt dry, but you pushed through it for her sake. That was enough deliberation for you as you walked up to her front door and waited for her to come out.

But the person who opens the door isn't Kara but instead her uncle, as he then scans you up and done before smiling as it seems you came at just the right time for whatever he had planned. "Follow me Y/N and take off your jacket as I need to run some blood tests, your father already gave me permission, but I didn't expect to see you so soon."

"Uh, Sure?" You didn't have a reason to not follow him as before he was discredited by the council, he was a great scientist and if your dad gave permission for this blood test then he felt it was important for whatever plan he is making currently as you take off your jacket and follow behind Jor-El.

You soon arrive in a very complicated lab section of the house, and it wasn't very far off from the stuff you saw in official labs. You guessed this was done because he was unable to continue his research in any official labs with the council denying him access to almost everything as you waited for him to get the equipment ready.

"Oh, just have a seat over there Y/N and I will get to you in a second." Jor-El gestured to a nearby chair before going into a deeper part of the lab, clearly he wasn't prepared to meet you so early as he had said judging from how he was rushing to collect everything.

You walked over to the chair that he had pointed out earlier before taking a seat, you continued to observe the room. You happen to spot a nearby PDA that had similar information to the one your father had from a glance. This confirmed to you that they were planning something, but what you didn't know nor wanted to know.

You quickly lost interest in whatever plans they had as you had your own and were going to live by them for whatever time you have left, you soon realize that you calmed down since you got into this almost ritualistic routine with the experiments as Jor-El soon returned pushing a table with a computer and other instruments on it.

"Sorry for the delay, this will be a quick and painless process." Jor-El took up a needle before carefully inserting it into arm, and it was painless as he said. The needle remained in your arm for a couple more seconds before it was removed and Jor-El wiped your arm as it healed itself.

Jor-El noted your quick healing as he put back the disinfectant spray for now and placed the sample into a nearby machine, he observed your cells for a second through the computer as he turned back to you. "You are extremely remarkable Y/N, even with such a small sample size your cells are truly living up to their reputation and your code name. It's a shame that you had to go through all the experimentation for it."

You were confused when Jor-El brought up your code name as you never knew you had one. "Sorry for bothering you with asking, but what exactly is my code name as I was under the impression that I haven't earned mine yet?"

Jor-El was confused at first before realizing his mistake, he rested back on his desk while the computer ran its calculations. "I forgot they are differences, but it's correct you haven't earned your military codename, but you still obtained one through the experiments, it was massive back when it first started, and it makes sense you wouldn't remember."

"Your codename that you were given back that was-" Before Jor-El could finish Kara came bursting into the room as she looked at you and smiled, before turning her fury back to her uncle as clearly him pulling you in here was not something she wanted to happen.

"Uncle, if you are going to drag someone's date to your top secret lab, then make sure to notify the person that their date is here else you might need to sleep with one eye open." Kara was angry because she spent the last five minutes thinking that Y/N flaked on her. but it was just her busybody uncle getting in the way.

You quickly lose interest in your code name as Kara just called you her date and your heart started to beat rapidly again, but you weren't scared this time. But you decided to stay quiet for now and let the uncle and niece sort out their little argument first.

"Well you see right, It was a spur of the moment thing, and it was really important as Y/N is a pretty hard person to find unless his dad wants him to be found." Jor-El did get permission from Dru-Zod, but this blood sample was supposed to be taken at a later time after your dates, but neither you nor Kara knew that.

"It was so important and spur of the moment, that you couldn't tell the house Ai to notify me that Y/N was here? If I didn't ask then I wouldn't have known in the first place." Kara continued to argue with her uncle as you zoned out, you found yourself looking at Kara as she was wearing a simple but extremely brilliant dress that was pretty.

You put on your jacket as you walk up to Kara and reach out your hand to her, she got startled from your hand as she was engrossed with her uncle. "Shall we get to our date? Your uncle is a little occupied right now, and you did promise me that today is my day to lead you somewhere nice."

Kara smiles as you call it a date as she was so preoccupied with arguing with her uncle that she didn't realize she let it slip, but this showed her that this feeling was mutual. This proved she wasn't imagining things as she took your hand. "Fine, let's go on our date, but this won't be the last time you hear about this uncle."

You chuckle to yourself as you firmly grip Kara's hand but not too tightly to hurt her as you two leave Jor-El alone in his makeshift lab, the old man looks at the two with a smile. "Young love is a beautiful thing isn't it."

"Yes it is brother, that's why we should do our best to try to protect the ones that we love from the end even if it causes us to become enemies of the world." Zor-El came from the shadows of the room as he looked at the screen of the computer, he turned to his brother to see what he thought of it. "So can it work?"

"It would be harmful in its pure form since it will see any other cells as an invader, but if we dilute it and the host body isn't too old like us then it should work. We might not be able to go with them, but we can at least give them a shot at survival." Jor-El took a seat in front of the computer as their plan to escape krypton may have failed for them but, at least their children still had a shot at escaping from this dying planet.

"I guess I will relay the news to Dru, he shouldn't care that much since his only concern was getting Y/N off the planet, and we can do that as long as we get everything together." Zor-El pats his older brother on the back before going to leave the room.

"You know the faster we get them off the planet, the less likely it is for them to experience any issues or for the council to find out what we are doing." Jor-El stopped his brother with those words as he knew what he and Dru were doing, but he didn't think it would end well if they continued down this road.

"We just want to give our kids some memories of Krypton before we send them off into the unknown. I know it is selfish, but please bear with us as you haven't made the same mistakes in fatherhood as us." Zor-El took one more look at his brother before leaving him in the lab alone, he knew it was selfish but being a father was about making selfish choices for your kids and they both knew that.

You help Kara into the hovercraft as you felt like this was right and this is what you really wanted for all these years, you took a look at the sky before turning to Kara. "I know it's a little stupid to bring you to the wasteland with a dress like that, but there is someplace I want to show you."

"Then Show me, I can always get new dresses, but I want to make the most of what little time we have together to its fullest." Kara smiled back at you as you started the hovercraft and raced towards the border to show her Heaven's Reach.

I will try to publish Chapter every Wednesday and Fridays, to try and make a schedule. 

Should it be longer than this? like 2k words or is this good? 

Also should Krypton blow up or Be sucked into the sun? the difference is that blowing up krypton allows kryptonite to be made but if its sucked in then no kryptonite will exist.
