The days following the incident were a blend of routine and gradual recovery for Yui. Each morning, she woke up to the gentle warmth of sunlight filtering through the hospital room window, a stark contrast to the turmoil that lingered in her mind.

The white walls and ceiling, once suffocating, began to feel more like a sanctuary, a place where she could quietly mend. Despite the ever-present guilt from the events that transpired, there was a new, fragile sense of hope that began to grow within her—a hope that maybe, just maybe, she could find her way through the darkness.

Kakashi was a constant presence by her side, offering silent support and comfort whenever she needed it. He never pushed her to talk about what had happened, nor did he rush her into resuming training. His approach was gentle, encouraging her to take things one step at a time. This patience was something Yui deeply appreciated, even if she found it difficult to express her gratitude in words.

Today felt like any other day in her recovery. The morning sun bathed the room in a warm, golden light, bringing with it a sense of calm. Yui sat up in bed, a tray of breakfast before her, though she had only picked at the food. Her thoughts were scattered, drifting between the memories of the past and the uncertainties of the future.

Naruto had promised to visit after class, and the thought of his lively presence brought a small smile to her lips. Despite everything, he had managed to retain his usual energy and optimism—a trait that often lifted her spirits. She could almost hear his voice, filled with determination, assuring her that everything would be okay. That thought alone was enough to make the day seem a little brighter.

The door to her room creaked open, breaking her from her thoughts. Ino peeked her head inside, a cheerful smile on her face. "Yui! Good morning!" she called out as she stepped into the room, holding a small bouquet of flowers. "I brought these for you. I thought a little color might brighten up the room."

Yui returned the smile, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. "Thank you, Ino," she replied softly, her voice still quiet but with a steadiness that hadn't been there before.

Ino walked over to the small table by Yui's bed and carefully arranged the flowers in the vase. "How are you feeling today?" she asked, glancing over her shoulder. "Any better?"

Yui nodded, though she knew she wasn't entirely truthful. "A little," she said, her mind still heavy with the events that had unfolded. But she didn't want to burden Ino with her worries. They all had their own challenges to face.

Before Ino could respond, the door swung open with a loud bang, and Naruto burst into the room, followed by Sakura, both of them carrying bags full of snacks and drinks. "Hey, Yui!" Naruto called out, his voice filled with the usual energy that defined him.

"We brought a ton of stuff to keep you company!"

Sakura rolled her eyes, though there was a smile on her lips. "Honestly, Naruto, you don't need to bring the whole store with you every time we visit."

Naruto flashed his trademark grin, completely unfazed by Sakura's remark. "I just want to make sure Yui has everything she needs!"

Yui's smile grew, her heart lightened by their presence. Their antics were a breath of fresh air, making the room feel alive and full of energy. For a moment, it felt like everything was normal again—as if they were just kids hanging out, free from the weight of their responsibilities.

As the day wore on, the room was filled with laughter and lively conversation. Naruto, Sakura, and Ino talked about everything from Naruto's latest pranks to Sakura's determination to improve her skills, and Ino's gossip about their classmates. It was a simple, lighthearted day, the kind that Yui desperately needed.
