-3rd Person-
The sun hangs low in the sky, its dying light casting a warm, golden hue over the forest as Kakashi Hatake makes his way through the dense trees. Each step he takes is deliberate, and heavy, as though the very earth beneath him seeks to hold him back. In his hand, he carries a single white flower, its petals soft and delicate, trembling in the slight breeze that whispers through the leaves. The path he walks is one he knows well, a journey he has undertaken many times since that fateful day, but today, every detail is sharper, every memory more vivid.
He can see the ancient shrine up ahead, nestled within a secluded grove of trees, hidden away from the world. The shrine is small and unassuming, yet its presence is powerful, almost overwhelming. It is a place of reverence, a place of remembrance, dedicated to a child who had been both feared and cherished. The air around it seems to hum with a quiet energy, a lingering echo of the power that once flowed through the small, fragile body of the girl whose memory it honors.
As he draws closer, Kakashi's eyes are drawn to the center of the shrine, where a smooth, obsidian stone stands tall, its dark surface polished to a mirror-like sheen. Carved into the stone is the image of a young girl, her face serene, her ghostly white hair flowing around her like a halo. Her eyes, captured in the cold stone, are a deep crimson, the same haunting shade that had once filled him with both awe and sorrow. Beneath the engraving, simple words are etched: Yui, The Cherished.
Kakashi stops in front of the stone, his gaze lingering on the girl's face, and for a moment, it's as though time has stopped. The world around him fades into the background, leaving only him and the memory of the girl who had touched his heart in ways he hadn't thought possible. He can still see her as she was the first time they met, small and fragile, yet with a strength and determination that belied her years.
He kneels slowly, carefully placing the white flower at the base of the stone. His movements are deliberate, almost ritualistic, as though this simple act could somehow bridge the gap between the present and the past. The memories flood back, overwhelming him, filling his mind with images and emotions he has tried so hard to bury.
The air is heavy with anticipation as Kakashi and Yui stand before the ancient relic, a monstrous object of power and malice that pulses with dark energy. The chamber they are in is dimly lit, the walls lined with ancient runes that seem to glow faintly in the oppressive atmosphere. Around them, the bodies of rogue ninjas lie scattered, defeated and broken, but their victory feels hollow. The true battle has yet to be won.
Yui's small hand grips Kakashi's tightly, her fingers trembling with a fear that she can't quite hide. She looks up at him, her crimson eyes wide and filled with uncertainty, searching his face for reassurance. "Kakashi... I'm scared," she whispers, her voice barely audible over the ominous hum of the relic.
Kakashi looks down at her, his heart clenching at the sight of her fear. He can see the conflict in her eyes, the weight of the decision she knows she must make. It isn't fair, he thinks. She's too young, too innocent to be burdened with such a terrible responsibility. But deep down, he knows there's no other way.
He kneels in front of her, placing his hands gently on her small shoulders. His voice is soft but firm, a steady anchor in the storm of emotions swirling around them. "Yui, listen to me. I'm here with you, every step of the way."
Yui's eyes fill with tears, her fear and uncertainty evident in the way her lip trembles, the way she clings to him like a lifeline. "But... what if I can't do it? What if I hurt everyone?"
The question is a dagger to Kakashi's heart. He has seen this girl grow from a frightened, confused child into someone capable of great courage and strength. He has watched her struggle with the fear of her own power, a power that has brought her nothing but pain and isolation. And now, she is being asked to use that same power to save the very people who once feared her.
