Chapter 4

" I am ready to marry you but in one condition."
Ishan said .

" What condition tell me ?"
Shubman asked.

Ishan closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

" My mom now is in ICU. She needs to have a immediate surgery but cost of the surgery and further treatment is very expensive. I couldn't afford even if I sell myself. So I am begging you . Please Save my mother."

Ishan was looking at Shubman with eyes full of tear.
Shubman turned his gaze towards the city lights lurking behind the window.
He had no problem with helping Ishan to save his mother's life .
But he had some doubts. If Ishan rejects to marry him after getting the money.
Shubman had some serious trust issues. Some past incidents made him a emotionless person.
" Hospital fees will get paid tomorrow within 10 o'clock. I will ensure that her operation begins at exactly 10 o'clock in the morning.
But one thing."
Shubman paused.
Ishan was sure about the fact that this man would never let things go so easily.

" You will go with me to the marriage registration office at 10 o'clock."

Ishan was speechless. He grabbed Shubman's collar.
" Have you lost your mind? Are you telling me to marry you while my mother is undergoing surgery? Shubman Gill , how can you be that heartless? "

Shubman removed Ishan's hands from his collar.
" You are doing this for sake of the only most important person in your life. I am also doing the same . It was never happened that Ivan wanted something and I didn't give him."
Ishan shook his head in disappointment.
This man is not only heartless and arrogant but also don't have any sense of parenting.

" Shubman Gill , I am not a toy . You are not buying me . I will throw the money one day on your face . I'm now helpless. What you did , is vile . Listen one thing carefully , there will be nothing but hate between us."
Ishan was taking out all of his anger and frustration on Shubman.

Shubman replied coldly,
" I am not marrying you as my partner but as Ivan's co-parent. Don't think I'll ever love you."

Ishan snapped back,
" Same to you."

Ishan was sitting on the chair like a statue beside Shubman . Shubman was talking with the lawyer. His mother was in operation theatre , having surgery while he was getting married.
Shubman placed the paper infront of him.
The lawyer told him to give signature.
Ishan's hand was trembling. His mind was messed up . His life was going to have a huge change after this.
He somehow signed.
Shubman took the pen from him and signed on the Groom's place.
The lawyer congratulate them.

When they reached to the hospital. His mother's operation was almost done. Ishan was so nervous.
The doctor came out from the OT . They both went to him.

" Mr Shubman Gill , the operation is successful. You mother-in-law will get her sense back in an hour."

Shubman shook his hand with the surgeon.

When they completed all formalities and payments , it was almost 6 pm.Ishan slumped his tired body on a visitor's chair.
Shubman handed Ishan all documents and went from there silently.

' He is leaving.'
Ishan thought.

Ishan was calculating the expenses when he felt a tap on his shoulder.
He looked up .
Shubman handed him a paper cup . It was hot coffee. Shubman sat beside him and put a plastic bag in his lap.

" Medicines for one month."

Ishan was surprised , he thought Shubman went home.

" Thanks."
Ishan said in low tone.
