A Love So True

Chapter 41

** Dear readers , I guess this chapter will be short and lame . Actually my mood was down from this evening. It's related to Ishman. I'll tell you at the end of the chapter. I don't want to lose hope. I just need some time to cope. and sorry for the typos , I'll correct them if I get some free times.**

Mr Gill was standing near the window. His gazes seemed lost somewhere. His daze broke as he felt someone just touched his shoulder.  He turned around.

Mrs Gill gave her husband a small smile. 

" I know you are thinking about Ivan's custody? Aren't you ?"

Mr Gill sighed and encircled his arm around his wife.

" I'm very worried. Ivan is too young. It'll be very tough for him."

Mr Gill's voice laced with concern.

Mrs Gill's heart felt uneasy when countless disturbing possibilities related to the custody battle rushed inside her head.

" Dear , why don't you have a talk with your lawyers? They can advise you on better strategies to win the case ."

Mr Gill removed his hand from her shoulder and walked towards the couch. He slumped down on it .

" I'm not  that much  stressed about legal issues. Shub hired the best lawyers. The legal battle isn't a matter of concern but other things related to it ."

Mrs Gill took a seat beside her husband. 

" Other things ? What's more serious than this case ? "

She asked.

" It's about Shubman and Ishan . Especially , Ishan's presence in Ivan's life. Ivan mentally accepted him as his mother already. If the consequence of this case led them to get separated from each other , my grandson will be affected the most."

Mr Gill received silence from the person beside him . He turned his gaze towards his wife. Mrs Gill was lowering her head . Different emotions were flashing on her facial expression. Mr Gill slowly approached her and took her hand in his.

" Honey , I know you are still upset with Ishan. I'm not forcing my opinion on you but think about it carefully. Have you ever seen anyone who could love someone's child like this ? You know people say , kids could see through human's emotions , they'll only get attached to a person if they sense the pure emotion. Ivan called Ishan mother in their first meeting. For Ishan , the lad , sometimes it feels like he loves Ivan more than Ivan's own father. " 

Mr Gill smiled softly.

Mrs Gill raised her eyes to look at her husband.

" But ... We can't deny the fact that he is Eshana's brother. Ishan's mother seems never stopped her contact with her daughter. How could I believe that they knew nothing about it ?"

Mrs Gill asked.

Mr Gill stared at her wife for a minute. Some thoughts flashed in his mind. Mrs Gill noticed the subtle changes in his expression. 

" Believe me . Ishan knew nothing about her connection with Shub. Not only Shub and Ivan suffered because of her but Ishan was also a victim of her dirty games. "

Mr Gill's voice deepened.

Shubman's mother was so shocked after hearing this . 

" What ?!  What did she do to Ishan ? Isn't Ishan her own brother?"

She asked.

Mr Gill placed his hand on the top of their conjoined palm. 

" Dear , you have to promise me that you'll never reveal this to anyone. This will be a secret between us only . "
