Hi, my lovely readers 🤍

First of all, I’m really sorry for the late updates. I know I’ve been inconsistent lately, and I truly appreciate every single one of you who’s still here, waiting patiently. Your support means more to me than you can imagine.
Secondly… I’m a little scared 👉🏻👈🏻
I know the new twist involving Yash and Shubman might have caught some of you off guard. Maybe it even made you upset. And honestly? I’ve been low-key nervous about how you all would react.

Please bear with me. Your author is slightly freaky, a little unpredictable… when it comes to plot twists.

Stay with me. Happy reading ❤️

Ivan was being stubborn. He insisted that tonight he would sleep in the kitten’s room so he could take care of it. Whenever children find something new, their excitement and curiosity reach their peak.

But Ivan had already woken up at four in the morning and hadn’t slept a wink since. If his sleep was disturbed again at night, he would fall sick.

So Ishan patiently explained everything and finally convinced him to sleep. He promised that early in the morning, before school, he would give Ivan a full hour to play with the kitten.

Ivan loved fun and mischief, like any child. But he couldn’t bear to see Ishan troubled. When he noticed the tiredness in Ishan’s eyes, he stopped insisting.

They were sitting together on Ivan’s bed. Suddenly, Ivan rose on his knees and wrapped his arms around Ishan’s neck in a tight hug.

In a soft voice, filled with concern, he asked, “Mumma… are you sad?”

Ishan’s eyes widened slightly.

Is it that obvious? he wondered.

He wrapped his arms around his son, who was no longer that small anymore. Ivan had taken after his father in height, taller than most children his age. Ishan couldn’t lift him in his arms now.

Patting his back gently, Ishan chuckled.

“My Ivan worries so much about me? My sweet boy loves his mumma that much? I’m not sad, meri jaan . Mumma just had a lot of work today, so I’m tired.”

Ivan broke the hug and knelt in front of him, studying his face carefully, as if trying to determine whether he was telling the truth.

Ishan offered him a tender smile.

Suddenly, Ivan cupped Ishan’s face, his little brows drawn together.

“Papa didn’t trouble you again, right? Just tell me. I’ll handle Papa. Papa always makes you sad. Why? I don’t like that."

His small hands gently caressed Ishan’s cheeks. Ishan was taken aback by his words.

“I know you’ll defend Papa again,” Ivan continued earnestly. “You’ll say he has a lot of stress from the office, so sometimes he gets angry. But Mumma, you shouldn’t do that. Just because Papa has work stress doesn’t mean he can behave rudely with you. Why do you always tolerate it quietly?”

Ishan’s heart filled so suddenly with tenderness.

“Ivan, why do you always blame Papa?” Ishan asked softly. “Tell me, have you ever actually seen him treat me badly? Papa loves us so much. Then why are you always after him, hmm?”

Ivan pouted, his little brows knitting together even more. But there was confusion in his eyes too.

“No… it’s not that,” he muttered. “It’s just… sometimes I’ve seen Papa get angry… argue with you. And then later, you become sad.”
