" Why did you deny your and Ishan's marriage , Shub ? God , I can't swallow this ? Ishan was present there from don't know how long . Maybe , he heard everything . Have you ever thought about his feelings ? He went stiff."

Mrs Gill scolded his son .

They were standing outside of the court room. Tension was clearly visible on their face. Shubman didn't answer , he was standing there while lowering his head. Abhi was beside him looking at his best friend with concern laced in his face.

Mrs Gill saw his son wasn't answering anything.

" Shub, I understand that your intention was just to wipe out every obstacle from the path as our country don't let a man take the role of a mother. Such a ridiculous law ! If they see how much Ishan loves our Ivan , they'll understand that Ishan deserves to be the mother of Ivan more more than his biological mother. But son , make me understand one thing , how could your marriage with Ishan can affect the case ? It's not like you're gonna get sole custody."

She raged. Shahneel was caressing the back of her mother to calm her down.

" Mom , calm down. Don't scold him. I think he has something in his mind. About , Ishan ...he is very sensible and mature person. If Shub talks to him , he'll understand for sure."
She tried to convince her mother.

Mr Gill was standing silent among them. Suddenly , he asked ,

" Shub son , I had a conversation with your senior lawyer at the day before yesterday. He assured me , this case is not gonna harm your marriage with Ishan. And the matter of raising child , your Mom is right. Getting sole custody at this circumstances seems impossible. You're not gonna lose this case , they assured it although but getting Ivan's sole custody ,It can only be possible if Eshana herself hand over it to you . "

Shubman rubbed his face on his palm and exhaled slowly ,

" Dad , yesterday our lawyer advised us , It'll be wise if I and Ishan live separately. It's not about law , our lawyers are very capable , I don't think the same sex couple can't raise child things would be an issue. About living separately , actually Eshana hates Ishan very much , she can go to any extent just to show her superiority over Ishan. I don't know whether I'm right or wrong , but I just want to keep Ishan far from all these messes."

Abhi understood his friend's feelings. He clicked his tongue and patted lightly on Shubman's shoulder to give him courage.

Mr Gill nodded his head . His facial expression was indicating that he was thinking about something very serious.

" Hmmm....but son , Ishan got hurt . What happened today ... Can leave some impact on your relationship with Ishan. "
He said with concern.

" Yes , The child is now in a very vulnerable situation. His own mother stood against him. He is on the verge of losing his child and now he heard his husband was denying their marriage in front of a court full of people. Shub , I think you should've talked with him before declaring all of these in court. He'll misunderstand you."
Mrs Gill added.

" I think Ishan got more hurt because everything happened in front of that filthy woman .Calling her woman is an insult to womanhood. Huh.... My skin starts burning whenever she comes in front of my eyes. "

Shahneel gritted out the words followed by her eye roll.

Shubman's mind went back to the moment when he saw Ishan was looking at him in disbelief. Shubman's heart clenched , everything was becoming unbearable for him.
