24 | SWORD DUEL

"I still say I'm good at sword fighting." Elliot chirped. A chip crunched in his mouth as he spoke.

The group sat on the bench outside the school per usual. They talked about any sort of hobby, and the topic of swords came up. Uma and her two knuckleheads of course perked up at the sound, including Jay. But this only made sense since the boys — including Elliot — were in Swords & Shields.

"I don't know man, I practice all the time." Jay pitched into the conversation. Harry's attention went toward him.

"Aw, Jay. Practice isn't gonna make you better like me." He bragged, his rivalry with the son of Jafar coming out.

Cassia perked up at the sound of this. "You really think you're better than him?"

Elliot widened his eyes toward Harry, reminding him of what he had told him the time they spoke.

"Uh—" Harry began but Gil was quick to speak. Of course the boy not knowing anything was against his favor.

"He thinks he's better than anyone." The son of Gaston shrugged. Harry and Elliot both shared an equal look of dilated eyes.

Oh, it was on for Harry.

"Really?" Cassia raised a brow, not amused.

"Yeah, he says no one can beat him," Gil answered for Harry once more.

"Yo, you're not helping." Elliot did the favor of whispering to Gil for Harry since he was closer.

Though if it was for Harry, he would've hooked the poor boy by now.

"So, no one can beat you?" Cassia pressed her arms against the wooden surface. This made her get closer to Harry, who sat across from her.

The sudden motion made the boy swallow and stiffen, but his mood shifted once he realized it sounded as if the princess was challenging him.

"Are you challenging me, Cassie?" Harry spoke his thoughts with a smirk. He did the same thing as her by pressing his arms on the table.

"You tell me." She raised a brow with a soft nudge of the head.

"Wait, actually?" Mal's voice rang causing the pair to glance her way, "You want to fight Harry?" She seemed amused by the girl's request.

"Why not?" The brunette shrugged not showing any stress, "It's only a duel," She said.

The group looked surprised. Nobody had ever wanted to quarrel with Harry voluntarily. It was either he came to row with you, or you had to fight him to survive. But Cassia knew how to fight, and she thought that the months she was back at home refreshed her mind on her sword combat abilities. Plus, she knew a couple of new tricks she could try.
