Jelo opened the door for Jane to go inside. Jane adjusted her clothes a bit before walking in. She saw Ares sitting at the table working, but before she could say anything, she had to stop smiling when she saw Tharn sitting in the office as well.

"Jelo, call Mery and Rafa in too," Ares said. Jelo nodded in acknowledgment of the order.

"Please sit down," Tharn said in a steady voice. Jane frowned slightly at Tharn's commanding tone but didn't dare say anything. So, she walked over to sit in the chair in front of Ares's desk. Before long, Mery and Rafa walked in.

"Is there something going on?" Jane asked. Ares looked at Jane with a cold gaze.

"Is there something you want to confess?" Ares prompted, causing Jane to hesitate for a moment.

"Wh-what do I need to confess?" Jane responded, her voice hesitant, immediately feeling uneasy.

"Do you think you've caused any trouble?" Tharn chimed in. Jane froze at Tharn's words; anyone with a guilty conscience would feel a chill run down their spine, wondering if it had to do with her drugging the wine. But she didn't dare to admit it outright.

"No, there's nothing, really. If it's about my issues with the girl in the cabaret, Tharn already punished me by deducting my salary," Jane brought up an old issue. Ares leaned back against the office chair, making Jane feel anxious as she sensed the ominous signals and the unsettling aura emanating from Ares.

"Since I've given you the chance to confess, but you still evade, you'll just have to accept the consequences that follow," Ares said in reply. Jane swallowed hard, struggling to keep her composure but determined not to speak the truth.

"What makes you think you can drug me?" Ares asked, causing Jane's face to turn pale immediately upon realizing that Ares was aware of the drugging.

"What... what drug are you talking about?" Jane replied, trying to act as normal as possible.

"The waiter you hired-don't you find it suspicious that they disappeared?" Ares continued, and Jane's eyes widened slightly.

"You don't need to come up with excuses anymore, Jane, because when you hired the waiter, there were security cameras that captured everything," Tharn bluntly stated, wanting to settle the matter quickly. Jane immediately became flustered.

"I... I didn't intend to drug anyone; I just wanted to play a prank on a friend," Jane still didn't want to admit the truth.

"Say that again," Ares said in a low tone. Jane turned to look at Tharn.

"I just wanted to prank Tharn," Jane chose to mention Tharn, thinking that at least it would lessen her guilt compared to drugging Ares. Jane's words made Tharn furrow his brow immediately.

"Pranking by using a sex drug? Don't you think that's a bit much?" Tharn couldn't help but ask, even though he knew well that Jane intended to drug Ares, not him.

"And what about you? Are you okay with that?" Jane shot back, causing Tharn to pause for a moment.

"Whether it is or isn't, it still caused Tharn trouble. How fortunate that he didn't go into shock from the effects of the drug and die. Otherwise, you'd definitely be charged with murder," Ares said, deliberately avoiding discussing that night. Jane, upon hearing this, turned pale.

"I didn't think the drug would be that strong. The person who gave it to me just said it would make someone feel euphoric and want to let loose," Jane replied, her voice shaking.

"Mr Ares, I really didn't mean to! I just wanted to prank Tharn," Jane continued to insist that she wanted to drug Tharn, not Ares. Tharn sighed in frustration.
