"Where are you going?" A deep voice echoed as Tharn was getting out of bed on a new morning, making him roll his eyes.

"I'm going to the bathroom. Do you want to come with me?" Tharn replied since he was heading to the restroom. His answer made Ares glare at his lover with a disapproving look.

"Well, you asked, so I answered," Tharn joked back.

"Why are you being so possessive? It's normal for me to go to the bathroom first thing in the morning, right? Hmph!" After finishing his sentence, Tharn leaned in and pulled on Ares' cheek, which caused Ares to grab Tharn and pull him closer. Tharn then ended up sprawled across Ares' strong chest.

"Ugh, let go!" Tharn squirmed as Ares pressed kisses on his cheeks and neck playfully. Once satisfied, Ares stopped, and Tharn shot him an annoyed look.

"Do you want to go anywhere today? I have the whole day free for you," Ares asked since he had been flying around for work quite frequently lately. Tharn also had to manage the cabaret troupe because it was high season, and many international tourists were coming to Thailand to watch cabaret shows.

"You have the time, but I don't. I have to go for a fitting for the troupe today," Tharn replied with a smile, which made Ares' expression tense immediately.

"Let Daisy and Aomsin go instead," Ares responded right away. Tharn chuckled softly.

"How could that work?" Tharn replied with a smile.

"I want to spend some time with you. Is that too much to ask, Tharn?" Ares said with a serious tone.

"How about this? You come to the shop with me. If you go, everyone will have to hurry with the fittings for sure. We'll get it done quickly, and after that, you can do whatever you want," Tharn suggested sweetly because he also missed spending time with his lover. Ares paused for a moment before letting out a soft sigh and nodding in agreement.

"Honestly, don't you ever feel suspicious or worried about me when I'm away from you?" Ares asked curiously because Tharn had never been clingy or demanding with him when they were apart.

"I do worry about you. As you know, your other job can be dangerous, and you have a lot of work. I don't want to be unreasonable with you," Tharn replied.

"Are you not afraid that someone will come after me?" Ares asked.

"If someone comes after you, will you play along?" Tharn replied.

"No," Ares answered immediately. Tharn chuckled softly before leaning in to peck Ares on the chin affectionately.

"This is why I trust you because you're honest. But that doesn't mean I'll let anyone get too close to you. Don't think I don't see the news," Tharn said seriously at the end. Ares raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Are you talking about the charity event from last week?" Ares asked back.

"Or are there multiple news stories?" Tharn teased in return.

"Hmph, there's only that one event. I had someone handle that news outlet, including that woman," Ares replied before recounting the details of when he attended the charity event. The governor brought his daughter to introduce her to him, and the young woman tried to get close to him by dealing with the news outlet to secretly take photos and publish articles to leverage Ares' influence and fame to enter the entertainment industry. But Ares had it all dealt with, and that news outlet nearly went bankrupt. The governor was investigated for corruption, and the young woman had her scandalous past dug up.

"But the news has been out for several days now. Why are you only bringing it up now?" Ares asked back.

"I prefer to ask questions in person rather than over the phone," Tharn replied. Ares smirked slightly.
