"Tharn! Tharn!" Ares's voice echoed at eight o'clock in the morning of a new day, and Tharn felt as if he had just fallen asleep not long ago. He opened his eyes groggily, and a wave of pain coursed through his body, causing him to furrow his brows slightly.

"Hmm," Tharn replied. When he opened his eyes, he saw Ares sitting by the bed, already showered and dressed.

"I have to go now," Ares said, gently brushing Tharn's smooth cheek with his hand.

"What time is it?" Tharn asked in a hoarse voice.

"It's eight o'clock, but you can keep sleeping and come back in the evening. I've asked Jelo to stay with you," Ares said. He had to fly on schedule so he could arrive in time to discuss work, even though he wanted to stay and see Tharn off first. Tharn lay there, quietly gazing at Ares.

"Are you awake, or are you just dreaming?" Ares asked, noticing that Tharn hadn't said anything.

"I'm awake," Tharn replied softly. Ares gently stroked Tharn's cheek back and forth.

"When I'm calling you, you need to answer. If you're going anywhere, just let my people know," Ares insisted on this matter,

"If I'm busy, I won't answer the call, and I can go wherever I want on my own," Tharn replied.

"Stubborn," Ares said, playfully tugging at Tharn's cheek since Tharn wouldn't agree with him and even denied it.

"I'm my own owner," Tharn said, slightly twisting his body to relieve the stiffness, causing the blanket to slide down to his slim waist. Although Tharn was wearing a nightshirt, the neckline was wide enough to reveal his smooth shoulder. Ares's mind was satisfied as he glanced at the marks on Tharn's neck and shoulders.

"Okay, be as stubborn as you like. I have my ways of handling you," Ares replied before resolutely standing up.

"Take good care of yourself. If you need anything, you can call me anytime," Ares reiterated. Tharn nodded in response. Ares leaned down to kiss the top of Tharn's head before walking out. Tharn lay still, feeling a warmth in his heart, but it also faded away somewhat. He remained still for a while before drifting off to sleep again. When he woke up, it was around noon. Tharn dragged himself to the bathroom to wash up and change clothes. He felt quite frustrated when he saw the marks on his neck and shoulders. Thankfully, when he let his hair down, it partially concealed the marks on his neck, and the marks on his shoulders were covered by his shirt.

"Mr. Tharn, are you going to eat something first, or are you leaving right away?" Jelo asked when he saw Tharn coming out of the bedroom with his bag.

"I can leave right away. I'll just stop to buy some snacks for the ride," Tharn replied, as he wanted to return to prepare for the event and get the people ready for the performance on the boat. Jelo agreed and walked over to carry Tharn's bag, leading him to the car. Along the way, Tharn jotted down the names of the people he planned to bring for the performance in Bangkok. Once he thought about arriving soon, he hurried off to his shop.

......

"Did he go into the shop already?" Ares asked Rafa when the latter came to report that Tharn had returned to Chonburi.

"Yes," Rafa replied. Ares nodded slowly while looking at his work schedule that Foss had emailed him. He wouldn't be going to Thailand until it was close to the date he had to bid on the mine with his friends because he had a lot of work waiting for him. He couldn't be selfish and bring Tharn along either, as Tharn needed to take care of the team that was going through changes due to Ares's adjustments in the workflow.

"Make sure our people keep an eye on Tharn from a distance," Ares instructed, and Rafa agreed.

"By the way, how about the situation with the person named Pipat?" Ares asked about the other person.
