POV Yukari
"Shisui, please, please, please! I'm old enough to train with you now. I'm already four years old!" I beg, stomping my feet in frustration. "I even have my Sharingan already!" I hope my big brother will finally take me seriously.
"Oh, really?" Shisui asks with a loving grin. "Then show me your Sharingan. Or maybe my little sister can't control it properly yet? Do you even know when your Sharingan appears and when it doesn't?"
His smile is warm, but I can see that he's also teasing me a bit.
"Hmph!" I turn away in a huff and sit outside on the ground.
Suddenly, I feel a gentle hand lovingly stroking my head. "What has Shisui done now?" Itachi asks with a smile, continuing to stroke my head.
I look up at him, my cheeks puffed out in frustration, but I say nothing.
Before I can say anything, Shisui speaks again, and I shoot him a slightly annoyed look.
"I didn't let her train with us. So if there's any trouble, it's not my fault," Shisui explains, looking at Itachi.
Itachi laughs softly and says, "Well, at least she can come along and watch. I'm sure she'll learn something from that too."
My eyes light up with hope as I look at Shisui. I nod eagerly, hoping that my big brother will allow me to join the training.
For a moment, my heart flutters with worry as Shisui's expression becomes serious—I almost fear he'll refuse to let me watch. But then a smile crosses his face, and with a gentle gesture, he ruffles my hair.
"All right, watching won't hurt," he says, playfully lifting me onto his back. From up here, I have the best view.
Itachi and Shisui start their warm-up with a series of dynamic stretches before moving on to more advanced techniques. I watch in fascination as their fingers move swiftly through the air, forming hand signs that seem almost magical.
Then, with a nearly theatrical pause, two gigantic fireballs appear, reflecting off the water and performing an infernal ballet. The heat of the flames tickles my cheeks, even though I'm several meters away.
The two then move away from the water to do some Taijutsu exercises. Their movements are fluid and precise, a dance of strength and skill. As they spar, I let myself be inspired by the sight and stand by the shore.
I have carefully observed every detail of their jutsus. With focused concentration, I mentally repeat the hand signs—Snake, Ram, Monkey, Boar, Horse, Tiger. Each sign releases a tingling sensation within me, a whispering wave of chakra that pulses through my veins.
Determined, I bring my hand to my lips, take a deep breath, and release a fireball of my own that races across the water. The effort drains me, and a slight fatigue creeps into my body, but the excitement of success outweighs it.
Just as the fireball fades away, I hear hurried footsteps behind me. Itachi and Shisui rush over, their faces a mix of shock and amazement.
"How did you do that?" Shisui stammers. I turn around, a triumphant grin on my lips.
"Itachi said I could learn by watching."
Shisui looks at me, speechless for a moment, then bursts out, "Without your Sharingan... that's incredible, Yukari. You mastered it just by watching."
His eyes shine with admiration and a bit of amazement. Itachi nods approvingly and turns to Shisui.
"Maybe we should consider training Yukari earlier, before she goes to the academy in a few years. With such talent, that would only make sense."
Shisui nods thoughtfully, his gaze shifting between me and Itachi. It's clear that a new plan for my future is beginning to take shape.
As I meet Shisui's thoughtful gaze, I notice his eyes suddenly take on the unmistakable glow of the Sharingan.
"Yukari, you had to control your chakra very precisely for that jutsu. Now try to activate your Sharingan with the feeling you had when you performed the jutsu. We know it's awakened, but now that you have a sense of chakra, you should be able to consciously summon it," he explains.
His words echo within me, and with wide eyes, I focus on feeling that inner energy, directing my chakra toward my eyes. Suddenly, I feel the familiar tingling sensation that occurs whenever my Sharingan activates, only this time I'm consciously bringing it forth. I open my eyes, and the first thing I see is the proud smile on Shisui's lips.
"Well done, little sister," he praises, lovingly stroking my head. "Now try to keep your Sharingan active for as long as possible during training. It will become easier and easier to control your chakra usage."
With newfound determination, Shisui begins teaching me Taijutsu. I keep my Sharingan active while Itachi constantly corrects my movements and posture. We go through various techniques, and although I lose control of my Sharingan at times and have to reactivate it, I feel how each repetition challenges my strength and concentration to keep the Sharingan active during training.
As evening falls, it becomes increasingly difficult to move. Shisui decides that it's enough for today.
"That was an excellent performance today. We'll continue training together whenever I have time. Tomorrow, I'm on a mission with Itachi, but you can practice everything we learned today on your own," he says, lifting me onto his back once more.
Together, we make our way back to the Uchiha district. After saying goodbye to Itachi, we head home.
After the exhausting day of training, Shisui runs a warm bath for me, adding some bubbles before leaving me alone to prepare dinner.
"I carefully climb into the tub and sink into the warm water, which immediately soothes my tired muscles. I play with the bubbles, letting them glide over my small fingers and building little towers on the surface of the water.
As I splash around in the bath, I think about the new jutsus I learned today. I practice the hand signs in the water, imagining myself performing powerful techniques like Shisui and Itachi. The water becomes my ally as I explore my own little world of ninjutsu.
Finally, I stand up, drain the water, and wrap myself in a large, soft towel. I quickly dry off and put on my favorite nightclothes, printed with little ninja stars.
Feeling fresh and cheerful, I head to the kitchen, where the smell of Shisui's cooking fills the air. 'It smells delicious!' I exclaim as I enter the room.
Shisui is at the stove, flipping the fish in the pan. 'Perfect timing, Yukari! Sit down, the food is almost ready.' He smiles and gestures to my place at the table."
As we eat, I tell Shisui about my training, how I activated my Sharingan, and how proud I was to learn the jutsus just by watching. Shisui listens attentively and nods approvingly.
"You really accomplished a lot today, Yukari. It's important that you keep practicing and mastering your Sharingan."
"I'll practice every day, Shisui! I want to be as strong as you!" I declare, determined, while taking another bite of my rice.
Shisui smiles warmly. "You will be, little sister. And tomorrow, while I'm on my mission, you can go over everything we practiced today."
After dinner, I help Shisui clean up, even though I can only carry the dishes to the sink. It feels good to help my big brother.
"Now off to bed, Yukari," Shisui says once the kitchen is clean. "You need your sleep to grow big and strong."
I nod and hug him. "Good night, Shisui."
"Good night, Yukari." He gently hugs me back and smiles before turning off the light.
I crawl under the blanket and close my eyes, filled with the events of the day and dreams of what I'll learn tomorrow.
Today, I not only consciously activated my Sharingan, but I also felt the connection and pride my brother has in me. Today was a good day
