The constant melody of rain over Amegakure acts like a monotonous pulse that permeates the entire village. Droplets patter against the metallic structures, creating an echo that reverberates through the narrow streets. From my vantage point, I can see how the dense clouds darken the sky, casting the gray buildings in a melancholic light. This is Pain's domain – a place where every breath feels under his control. I remain vigilant.

"Good morning, Yukari."
Konan's voice is calm, almost gentle, but I know that vigilance hides behind her composed exterior. She approaches silently from behind, so quiet that I might not have noticed her presence if she hadn't spoken.

I turn slightly to face her, keeping my gaze distant. "Konan," I reply politely, maintaining my facade.

"If you're interested, we have information on Orochimaru's latest hideout." Her words are straightforward, without preamble, yet I can sense the undertone in her voice. She knows this information is of deep interest to me. Perhaps she understands more about my motives than she lets on.

My heart skips a beat for a moment, but I maintain my composure. "Interesting," I say simply, nodding curtly. As Konan shares the details, I feel her gaze lingering on me, as though she's attempting to see past my mask. Has she seen through me? That question is always in the back of my mind when I speak with her.

Once she finishes, I leave immediately. My footsteps echo on the rain-soaked streets as I leave the oppressive atmosphere of Amegakure behind.

The scenery shifts as I move deeper into the Land of Rice Fields. Roads narrow into muddy paths, and dense forests stretch out for miles around me. The air grows humid, each breath heavy. A soft mist creeps through the trees like a ghostly presence that enshrouds the area. I can feel the chakra in the surroundings grow heavier – a clear sign I'm nearing the hideout.

Eventually, I find the entrance. A subtle crack in a rock wall, overgrown with moss and vines. A hidden steel door yields with some pressure, and I step inside. Darkness envelops me, but my eyes adjust quickly. The air is stifling, filled with a rancid smell reminiscent of abandoned laboratories.

A narrow passage leads me deeper into the hideout. My footsteps are muffled, and the echoes hint at the network's vastness. But as I venture further, it becomes clear that this place was recently abandoned. Shredded papers litter the ground, open and empty file folders scattered about. Scratch marks on the walls suggest someone hastily tried to erase traces of their presence.

I follow the trail through countless corridors until I finally emerge into a larger chamber. The lighting is dim, the ceiling high, and in the distance, I see a shadow standing motionless at the end of the room. My Sharingan activates instinctively as I focus on the presence.

"It's been a while, Sasuke," I say calmly, breaking the silence. My voice echoes through the chamber as I keep my gaze fixed on him.

Sasuke steps out from the shadows, his crimson eyes gleaming, and I can tell immediately that he's ready to strike.

My heart clenches painfully as I take in his expression – so serious, filled with anger and hatred. It's a sight that shakes me to my core. Once, in another time, he would have greeted me with a wide smile, brimming with childish joy. But now? Now, I am the source of his hatred, and I cannot deny that I blame myself for it.

"You should stay away from Orochimaru," I say with a softness I can barely afford. My voice remains calm, but I struggle to convey the concern and affection I feel for him. "I've told you before—this isn't your power. It won't help you grow, Sasuke. Orochimaru is only using you."

His crimson Sharingan eyes gleam with anger, his fists clenched tightly at his sides. Yet he restrains himself, speaking in a measured tone, though his words drip with resentment. "I will restore the Uchiha name. I'll erase your betrayal, Yukari, and show you just how much you've underestimated me."
