Many years later...
I stand before the gates of Konoha.
For the first time in what feels like an eternity, I release my Yōko Senkō form.
Without the constant whisper of natural chakra surrounding me, the air feels unfamiliar... foreign and yet familiar, like an old song whose words you've almost forgotten.
My gaze drifts downward to my son. Born in that other world, he has never known another form. His snow-white hair catches the sunlight, his fox ears twitch curiously, and his tail dances softly in the breeze.
A smile steals across my lips.
When I look up, my heart skips a beat.
Carved into Konoha's mountain face is a new face—Naruto.
He really did it.
His dream has become reality.
And the village itself... It's almost unrecognizable. Brighter, more modern, bustling with voices—and yet... deep beneath it all, it's still the same home.
"Is this where you were born, Mama?"
The small voice gently pulls me from my thoughts.
I nod. "Yes. And starting today, you will live here too."
I gently ruffle his hair. "Now let's go see Naruto. And after that, we'll sign you up at the Academy."
No sooner have we stepped into the village than a boy with messy blond hair crashes right into us.
His eyes—so lively, so unmistakable—immediately betray whose son he is.
"Oh man, sorry! I wasn't looking...!"
He falls silent, staring wide-eyed at my son's fox ears, his face lighting up with awe.
"Whoa... that looks so cool!"
I chuckle softly. "You must be Naruto's son."
Gently, I place a hand on my son's shoulder.
"I'm Yukari Uchiha. And this little whirlwind here is going to be attending school with you. Maybe you two will become friends."
I wink at him. "Is your father in his office?"
"I'm Boruto Uzumaki!" he blurts out, his excitement briefly clouded by a flicker of frustration.
"Yeah... where else would he be? He's always stuck in his office..."
I crouch down slightly to his level.
"Then show us the way, Boruto."
Though I know the way by heart, I let the two of them run ahead, quietly watching how easily children can build bridges where adults so often build walls.
When we reach the Hokage building, I push the office door open—without knocking, without hesitation, just like the old days.
Boruto jumps in surprise, and my son clutches shyly at my leg.
Two faces turn toward me—and for a moment, I see time itself freeze in their eyes.
Itachi. Naruto.
Their gazes are a blend of disbelief... and deep, aching tenderness.
"I'm back," I say calmly.
"It's been a while. And it's good to see that you two get along so well."
Itachi's voice is barely more than a whisper. "Yukari...?"
He has aged—fine lines around his eyes, a new serenity in his stance.
And Naruto—the boy I once knew is gone.
