I'm playing with Sasuke in the living room, building a huge castle out of colorful blocks. Sasuke giggles and claps his little hands as we stack the towers higher and higher.
Suddenly, I hear familiar voices, and my heart leaps with joy. "They're back!" I shout, jumping up. With quick steps, I run to Itachi and Shisui, who are just entering the living room.
Itachi lifts Sasuke into his arms, who immediately claps his little hands in delight. I throw myself at Shisui, wrapping my arms around his neck and squeezing him tightly.
"Shisui!" I exclaim, overjoyed. He smiles and gently strokes my hair. It feels so good to have him back here. I missed him so much.
While Itachi greets the rest of the family, Shisui says, "Itachi, you can stay here. The Third Hokage wanted to see Yukari and me anyway, and then I can directly report on our mission." Itachi nods and continues to care for Sasuke, who is happily wriggling in his arms.
I quickly say goodbye to Fugaku and Mikoto. "Thank you for the wonderful time!" I call out, waving to them before leaving the house with Shisui.
The sun is shining brightly, and the village streets are bustling with activity. I'm overjoyed that Shisui is back and that he returned unharmed. These long missions always make me worried.
As we walk through the village, Shisui asks me, "Have you been practicing diligently while I was away?"
I grin from ear to ear. "Every day! Do you want to see how good I've become? Of course, only after you've had some rest."
Shisui nods, satisfied, and we continue walking. The large building where the Hokage has his office looms ahead of us. It's so huge that I can barely see the end of the corridor.
I have to wait outside the office while Shisui gives his report. A ninja with a dog mask stands beside me, keeping watch. Even though I don't know him, I somehow feel safe in his presence.
Finally, I'm called into the office. The man with the mask opens the door for me, and I quickly run inside, settling on Shisui's lap. The Hokage sits behind a massive desk filled with stacks of papers.
His white hair and dark brown eyes radiate an authority that impresses me. I can barely see over the desk.
"How are the two of you? Are you getting along well?" the Hokage asks, directing his gaze at me.
I'm bursting with pride and begin to speak, "It's so nice with my brother! We often go to Sasuke's and play together. And I get to train with Shisui!"
I tell him about the Taijutsu exercises and how much fun it is, but I keep the training with Uncle Fugaku as a surprise for Shisui. My words tumble out, and I don't let Shisui get a word in.
The Hokage smiles and nods. "I'm glad to hear that the two of you are managing well together," he says, then turns to Shisui.
"I had concerns about your age, Shisui. Taking care of your sister and also being a shinobi at just ten years old is a big achievement. Hearing Yukari's lively story of how well you're doing together relieves me greatly."
I say goodbye to the old man and take one last look at the ninja with the dog mask. I bow deeply to thank him for watching over me in the hallway. His mask hides his face, but I sense that he's smiling. Then I take Shisui's hand, and we leave the office to step into the bustling village.
Outside, Shisui bends down to me, and I look into his warm eyes. "Shall we eat something in the village today?" he asks me.
I nod enthusiastically, feeling as if my heart is jumping for joy. Eating outside is something very special for me, especially when Shisui is with me.
We find a cozy little shop with colorful lanterns swaying in front of the entrance. The friendly lady behind the counter smiles at us as Shisui orders two bowls of noodle soup. We sit at a small table, eagerly waiting as the aroma of fresh broth and spices fills the room.
When the steaming bowls are placed in front of us, I can't wait to pick up my chopsticks. The noodles look so delicious! I take a big bite, and the soup tastes incredible—spicy and warm.
With Shisui by my side, it tastes even better. We slurp the noodles and laugh as I nearly splash a drop of broth on my face.
After the soup, we order a delicious tea. Shisui says that tea is good for digestion. I lean back and enjoy the warmth of the cup in my hands. It's so nice to just sit here and spend time with Shisui.
Usually, Itachi is with us, and I like him a lot. He's like another big brother to me. But today, it's especially nice to be with Shisui alone.
I notice that Shisui looks a bit tired.
His eyes are heavy, and he smiles wearily. So I try not to talk too much, so he can relax a bit. It's enough for me to just be with him and feel his presence.
We sit there, letting the moments pass, as the sun slowly sets, casting the world in a warm, golden light.
Finally, we head home. The evening air is cool and pleasant, and I hold Shisui's hand tightly as we walk through the streets of Konoha.
The lanterns are already lit, casting a soft glow on the houses. Once home, I quickly get ready for bed. Shisui helps me tuck in my blanket and gives me a kiss on the forehead.
"Good night, little sister," he says gently.
"Good night, Shisui," I mumble, closing my eyes. It doesn't take long for me to fall into a deep sleep, content and happy about the wonderful day I spent with my brother.
