"All right, put your pencils down, last person in each row, bring the answer sheets to me," Aizawa said for the third and final day in a row.

I stood up and lumbered to the front of the class, collecting papers as I went. I was not in the right head space at the start of these three days of written exams so I would be lucky if I even passed them.

For the past three nights, it has been really uncomfortable at home. My efforts to limit interaction were proving successful except for two nights ago when I went down for a midnight snack and Tamo-san was making tea.

It was really tense in the kitchen as I was grabbing bread. That was pretty much the limit of my diet. I wasn't great at cooking so I had been surviving off poorly made sandwiches and sometimes Tamo-san left cooked food that he hadn't eaten in a pot. I finished it off, not caring if that's what he intended or not.

I was really affected by Tamo-san's words the night he said it. Thinking along those lines was the reason Tani got shot, I couldn't make that mistake again and risk someone close to me getting hurt like last time.

I had texted Tani to check up and with the hopes that he could calm me down- I don't even know if his quirk would work with the distance, but I feel like he would be able to calm me down even without his quirk. However, Tani wasn't free to talk for long, apparently the Iron Fist agency is in the middle of an important mission and, even though Tani has been banned from action, he is adamant that he will help Sora make sure Yoshi-san and Matsui don't die.

When all else failed I decided to leave and run laps around the property with music blasting full volume in my ears as I screamed the lyrics to my favourite songs. I was very out of time, very off key and getting weird looks from dog walkers, but I was able to stop thinking about everything.

Time Skip

Our entire class was huddled at the front of the Practical Exam Area: Centre Plaza. I ran my hands over the leathery fabric of the forearm sleeves of my hero costume.

You've got this Y/n. You've beaten these robots before, you can do it again. Do it in spite of what Tamo-san said and to prove to Bakugo you are a strong opponent. Toshi-san believes in you, don't let him down.

I looked past Mina and Denki to see a handful of teachers, led by Aizawa, gathering in front of us. Ectoplasm, Power Loader, Cementoss, Snipe, Present Mic, Thirteen and Midnight.

"Now then, let's begin the last test," Aizawa announced. "Remember, it's possible to fail this final. If you want to go to camp then don't make any stupid mistakes."

"Why are all the teachers here?" asked Jirou.

"I expect many of you have gathered information and believe you have some idea of what you'll be faced with today," stated Aizawa. When you say it like that, you make me question my sources.

"We're fighting those big ol' metal robots!" exclaimed Denki.

"Fireworks! S'mores! Here we come!" shouted Mina.

"Actually, this years tests will be completely different for various reasons!" Aizawa's scarf began to move and a mouse-dog-bear thing popped out. I recognised it to be the principal of UA, Principal Nezu. Damnit Nezu, why did you go and do that?

"You're changing things?" Momo questioned with a high-pitched voice of panic.

The tests now have a new focus."

Nezu climbed down from Aizawa's shoulder with the help of Thirteen. Aizawa seemed unfazed from being used a climbing frame.

"There will be hero work of course, but also teamwork and combat between actual people. So what does that mean for you? You students will be working together in pairs and your opponents will be one of our esteemed UA teachers. Isn't that fabulous!" the tiny white creature explained. No! Not fabulous, Nezu. Far from fabulous!
