My solution to not talking to anyone was to go to sleep and wake up earlier. It was working out well so far, except for the fact that I was up earlier than the ass-crack of dawn.

With the extra time I had, I snuck into the kitchen to locate and steal a water bottle. I had almost escaped unnoticed but as I was filling it up, Aizawa walked in.

He was the reason why I was currently propped up against a tree in the shade from the morning sunlight, watching the rest of the class file into the area that I helped Aizawa set up yesterday.

All of them looked exhausted as they trooped behind our homeroom teacher. Once everyone had stopped in the area, Aizawa turned around and addressed us all.

"Good morning class, today we will begin the training camp that will increase your strength. Our goal is to increase your skill exponentially so each of you earns your provisional license. This will allow you to face the dangers that continue to fester in the darkness. Proceed carefully." Aizawa explained.

He glanced over at me. "Y/n, get over here."

I looked up with wide eyes. The look he was giving me was telling me I had no choice in the matter.

Reluctantly, I stood up, clutching the cool metal of the water bottle, not making eye contact with any of the class, and started walking over to Aizawa.

"Catch," he warned before throwing a ball at me.

I panicked and dropped the bottle, just barely catching the ball with both of my hands. My water started leaking out onto the dusty ground. "Damnit," I He sighed softly.

"Go on and throw it," Aizawa encouraged. "At the start of school, you managed to throw 560.3 metres, let's see if you can get any further today."

Last time I used my wave, but that was only possible because I could make use of the water in the air.

"Oh I get it! We're doing this to see our progress!" shouted Mina with too much energy for this time in the morning.

I pressed my lips together as I racked my brains trying to find a way for me to not look stupid in front of these people. I suppose I could cover the ball in water and send it as far as my reach would extend to-

What's the point? I don't even want to be here. Just suck it up Y/n, throw the ball and be done with it, it doesn't matter if you don't even want to be a hero anymore.

I took my stance and chucked the ball as far as I could without using my quirk. There was a disappointed silence as we all watched the land and bounce, not even reaching the far edge of the forest.

"45 metres," Aizawa read out my distance. "Y/n, try again, use your quirk." There was a tinge of annoyance in his voice as he threw me another ball.

"No." I mumbled while throwing the ball back to him. I can't.

Aizawa sighed and turned to the rest of the class as I picked up my now empty water bottle. I couldn't be bothered to pick up the water from the ground so I just trudged to behind the group.

"Fine then. Bakugo, look alive. You try throwing this for me."

"Yeah sure," Bakugo replied, catching the ball effortlessly.

"Your record was 705.2 metres, let's see if you've improved.

"I wonder if he can throw it a whole mile now," Sero said. "Come on, get it, Bakugo!"

Bakugo got in position and drew back his hand. "No one blink. Go to hell!" he screamed as he whipped his hand forward.

The familiar sparks of his quirk pushed the ball forward and sent a huge gust of wind back towards us.
