Dipper had been rather calm about the whole Mabel being missing situation. It was like he didn't even know who Mabel was. After a day you would think that he would be worried, but he wasn't.

He went through his phone deleting everyone he didn't know. Wendy, Pacifica, Soos, Melody, Ford, and Stan. He actually didn't know who they were.

He pulled out a blue stone from his pocket. He couldn't remember anything about it, but he felt like it was important. Dipper looked at the stone, some jagged edges, a blinding blue light, just a glowing rock.

He touched it, reaching out and trying to study it. With that he woke up in a blue room. The inside of the stone.

"Hello there, Pines boy," said a purple humanoid being.

"Who are you?"

"I am the stone, and this is the final step of the process for you to become a new man," it said.

"What a new man?" Dipper questioned.

"Yes, your memory, feelings, everything that makes you, you are being replaced by the perfect being," it continued.

"What? No! Give me my life back!"

"I'm afraid I can't."

Dipper tried to punch it but went right through it. He tried and tried but to no avail. He thought long and hard about solutions but everything he tried failed. This was the end of Dipper.

"Accept your fate, the process is almost complete."

"Where are we?"

"Inside the gem."

"That's it!"

Dipper began to run back a forth from each side. The room began to shake. He ran as fast as he could and hit the walls as hard as he could, but he was too weak. He couldn't do it if he tried.

"Please, for my final moments I wish to able to drive a car," Dipper pleaded.

"No, I do not have such powers, but I will give you a final wish, anything you want."

"I want you to do what I was doing just then," Dipper announced.

"I didn't think of that," it said, "But your final wish will be granted."

It ran across the room as fast as it could without slowing down. Its hard hits against the walls made the stone shake.

Dipper could feel himself fading. As if his consciousness was leaving the world for good. He began to push against the wall too. The stone shook even more.

With a final push from Dipper the stone fell over shattering. Dipper's soul re-entered his body, and he could feel his memories returning, but he couldn't remember much.

He looked down at the shattered stone. Blue shards were left on the floor where it was broken. That stone was the reason he didn't find Mabel that night. Dipper then stomped on the stones, breaking them even more.

Now he set off again, this time he was going to find Mabel, and no rock was getting in his way.
