The world stays still quiet, even the routine natural noises of bird chirping and cars occasionally zooming past all come to a halt in the presence of Sunoo's voice so much so Sunghoon is forced to press a hand over his chest to check if he could feel it still beating.
Sunoo's voice is shaky at first, so he shuts his eyes. Perhaps it was because he was too drunk to think, or perhaps it was the thickening humidity that slowly piled up pounds of sweat on his already sweaty skin, or maybe, just maybe, it was the fact that once again Sunghoon's eyes were focused solely on him; his voice. His pride.
Squeezing and grasping, he pulls at his fingers, aimlessly trying to stabilise his froggy throat into something worth presenting. This was finally his moment and now he was going to lose it - but it wasn't fair. Sunghoon hadn't given him time to prepare this masterpiece scenario that he had played over and over again in his head until it made his head spin and that was on the skater, not himself.
"Hey," Sunghoon whispers and Sunoo's eyes are forced open. His breathy words almost caressing his burning cheeks as he scoots closer, lending him his hand. It was long, pale and slender - his nails glossy and pointed - Sunoo staring stupidly until he realises time is still passing. His eyes shoot up to look at Sunghoon and again he's giving him that unwavering stare whatever that meant, "chill out," he laughs, almost teasingly but there's a sweet edge to his voice. It mimics the tone he held with him on the phone and at first he though it was the static dulling down the harsh edges of his rough tongue, but now there was no way it couldn't have not been real.
"I am," He tries to be the rough one though his staggering and bubblish voice due to the lack of control he held over his body only served to make Sunghoon laugh further, slapping his hand at the childish reaction.
"Go on then," Geez. Sunoo's hand slowly reaches up to touch the matted skin on his nape, dragging his fingers through the surface when Sunghoon leans down further, titling his head just right so that the moon's reflection is caught in the reflective dark surface. His cheesy grin doesn't make these fleeting feelings feel any more real - perhaps he was just hallucinating this man - he couldn't be real; this couldn't be real.
Slap.
"Hey, what you do that for?" Sunghoon's smile quickly drops when Sunoo smacks his cheek as if to draw him back to reality and though his head does start to spin, and his eyes struggle to refocus-the skater is still there. Beady eyes, whimsical grin and childish tone - it's all real apparently.
Sunoo doesn't know how to respond without sounding deranged, so he shrugs. "Helps me focus, my head feels a bit dizzy," he purposefully emphasises the drunk nature of his short chortle, looking away flustered as he tries to cool off. Clearing his throat, Sunoo shuffles back onto the bench and recoups with a deep breath that travels all the way down to his stomach and back out through his mouth.
"A-alright then," Sunghoon accepts Sunoo's answer - he was drunk after all - and though he didn't how the boy took alcohol, he doubts that's something he did before shows as a warmup routine, but he accepts, nonetheless.
"Silly guy-"
"Did you just call me-"
"Okay, okay I'm sorry just sing," Sunghoon gestures widely with his hands for Sunoo to ignore him, even averting his gaze to give the singer his space to continue.
A soft breeze rustled through the leaves, creating a delicate symphony that mirrored the melody Sunoo was about to weave. The moon, a radiant spotlight in the darkened sky, cast a gentle glow upon their faces, illuminating the anticipation etched on Sunghoon's face, Sunoo's expression somehow unreadable when he flutters his eyes shut almost as if to grasp onto the ever-changing mood.
