There's some weird feeling of joy that suddenly hits Sunghoon when he's on the ice - perhaps it's the sound of complete nothingness but the soft etching of his blades against the cool ice or the crisp air that seemed to force him awake but whatever it was, Sunghoon was starting to forget it.

"Hey, look who's turning nineteen!" Sunghoon chuckles softly when he notices Jake slide onto the ice - his silent abbess now running alongside another pair of skates.

He mimics the chuckle and shrugs his shoulder, gliding gracefully to his side with a lazy spin. "Mmm, I wonder who," he teases with a smirk though the way his eyes trace over his body and pool around his marked-up skates makes Sunghoon feel funny, a burst of discomfort or was its annoyance seems to take flight within his stomach.

"You got anything special planned?" He throws an arm over his shoulder, pulling him in closer and Sunghoon turns away feeling slightly embarrassed when he murmurs a soft maybe.

"But even if I did," he chuckles warmly, his eyes polarised to those of Jake's. "Why would I tell you?" he shoves the boy away by his chest and his heart stammers out a thousand heartbeats, but it stutters as he watches cautiously for Jake's warm laugh.

"Just don't."

"What?" Sunghoon suddenly becomes unsure of how to respond, palms sweaty as his heart practically vibrates and he can feel his pulse become thick in his neck. The ice doesn't feel as cool anymore. His breath comes out shallow when all Jake does is stare crookedly at him as if he were some abstract art piece he didn't care to understand.

He looks down at his blushed fingertips and feels slightly awkward, feeling unsure of how to fix up this confusing conversation. What did he mean? Was he trying to polite or was he being serious? Did lasts years performance really hurt him that badly-

"Just don't." He breaks the words apart as if his tone changed the sentence or maybe it did, but Sunghoon was too good at denying his friend's intention, afraid it would be worse than his endless confusion.

He falls silent, returning to his skating routine as his eyes trace the reflecting glass - he can barely see his reflection in the thick ice and his gaze falters. He hums softly to himself, feeling incredibly awkward though the emotions slowly fade into nothingness after a few minutes of silence.

"Stop staring at me,"

Sunghoon blushes feeling a little awkward as he turns away, his camera still is focused as he struggles to hide his bashful grin, but he can't help it. For a second, everything feels alright - he can feel the rapid pacing of his heart, the way his face becomes flustered. It's a good type of insane - something maybe he couldn't handle - but even so, Sunghoon wanted more.
