"Do you two know each other?" Mikha inquired.

"We just met. I recognized him from before," Enzo replied.

"Didn't know you had an older brother," Jon commented.

"Yeah, and an older sister too," Mikha added. "Do you have any siblings?"

"I have a younger sister," Jon answered. "She's in college right now."

"Oh, how old is she?"

"She's probably around your age—about to turn 22 in October," Jon replied. "She'd probably freak out if she knew what I'm working on right now."

"Why?" Mikha was curious, as always.

"She's a huge fan of your group," Jon said with a smile.

"Oh, do you want to send her a picture of us together? I wouldn't mind," Mikha offered.

Jon chuckled. "It's fine. She'd probably die of envy before she could even say thanks."

"Wouldn't want to do that to her since she's graduating next semester," Jon added.

"College, huh..." Mikha mused, her thoughts drifting. She wondered what course she might have taken if things had gone differently. Law was a strong contender—she'd talked about it a lot with Colet before, though she often complained it would take too long. Maybe it was still a path she could consider after BINI.

"Are you guys heading home now?" Jon asked.

"Yeah, just came by to take Mikha home to her condo," Enzo answered.

"Oh, here," Jon said, handing Mikha the guitar. "Remember to rest."

"I will," Mikha promised as she took the guitar from him.

"You can come with us if you like. I can give you a ride home," Enzo offered.

"It's okay, I've got my own ride," Jon replied.

"Alright then, see you," Enzo said, shaking Jon's hand. "Nice meeting you, Jon."

"You too, Enzo."

The siblings walked toward the parking lot, leaving Jon alone in the studio. As they walked, Enzo asked Mikha about her practice. She gave a detailed account, leaving out their personal conversation, of course.

"He seems like a nice guy," Enzo remarked.

"He is," Mikha agreed. "He's really caring too."

"Ohhh... could he be the one?" Enzo teased.

Mikha pushed Enzo's shoulder. "Shut up. We're just colleagues."

"Whoa, not even friends?"

"That's not what I meant... I mean, I think we're friends?"

Enzo chuckled. "How are you so unsure if someone's your friend?"

"Well, it's not like we need to announce it. You either become friends or not," Mikha retorted.

"So, are you friends?" Enzo pressed.

Mikha fell silent, unsure. "Shut up."

Enzo laughed. "Don't worry, I think you two are friends. Plus, he seems to care about his job, despite everything."

"What do you mean by that?"

"It's nothing," Enzo said, deciding it wasn't his place to talk about Jon's circumstances. "Let's go home. It might start raining again soon."

Jon's conversation with Enzo left him feeling a bit confused. He wasn't usually one to share much, but he found himself talking comfortably with Enzo. Maybe it was a sense of camaraderie seeing that they were both the same age, or perhaps he was just tired and let his guard down. Either way, the conversation was over. No use thinking on it now, the night is still not over. His bandmates finally joined him downstairs.
