It seemed the night wasn't quite done with Jon yet. Despite the name being clearly shown in the message, he still doubted whether it was really Mikha who sent it. Even though the message contained information only known to him, the director, and potentially the requester—who was obviously Mikha—his skepticism lingered.

If Jon had one flaw, it was that he didn't trust messages, especially from strangers. So, in his usual cautious fashion, he skeptically asked:

Jon: You say you're Mikha, but how do I know it's really you?

On the other side of the phone, Mikha was sitting on her couch, watching the finale of the K-drama she'd been hooked on all week. Her cat, Haru, was napping on her lap as she absentmindedly petted him. When Mikha's phone dinged with Jon's reply, she was confused. She had already introduced herself, so why was Jon being so skeptical? Then it dawned on her.

Probably because of the account I used. It does look a bit suspicious.

But no one else would know about her request except those directly involved. Still, she understood Jon's caution, so she offered irrefutable proof.

Mikha: Well... we met two days ago. You bumped into me and then offered me food as a peace offering. Earlier today, you played "Mary on a Cross" and "What If I Was Nothing?" (not sure if that was the title of the 2nd song) We jammed for a bit, and you gave me your contact info.

Mikha: Later, I made a request to Direk about guitar lessons. He asked if you could help, and you agreed. So, I thanked you by messaging the account info you gave me.

Mikha: Is that enough evidence for you?

Mikha was satisfied as she hit send, and Jon felt reassured. His skepticism stemmed from his childhood, where he'd learned not to trust people completely. This display of doubt was just the tip of the iceberg, likely one reason he'd initially pursued a career in uncovering truths before switching to music. A challenging but rewarding path.

Jon: Alright, alright. So, why are you still up at 11 p.m.?

Mikha: Watching a K-drama.

Jon: Don't you need to rest?

Mikha: This is how I rest. Besides, I sleep pretty late.

Jon: You should sleep earlier. It's bad for your health to keep staying up past midnight.

Mikha: Thanks for the tip, doctor.

Jon smiled slightly. Mikha was already bantering. She soon changed the topic before Jon could have a chance for rebuttal.

Mikha: How about you? Why are you still up?

Jon: Just finished messaging a couple of people, so I was about to recharge.

Mikha: Oh? What for? The messaging people part?

Jon: Something that Martin had me do.

Mikha: Martin?

Jon: The sound recording guy from earlier.

Mikha: Just kidding. Of course I know Sir Martin.

Mikha: Anyway, so what are you up to next?

Jon: Recharging.

Mikha: Recharging what?

Jon: My social battery. Interacting with people does that to an introvert.

Mikha: Oh, sorry.
