We drink the poison our minds pour for us and wonder why we feel so sick.
RIVER LADISTON
So far, the trip was pretty bland, but you can always count on Dexter to liven things up. He claims to have something planned that will spice things up.
Did I trust that sentence?
Not one bit, but hey it's worth a shot.
Elijah and Emily have legit been have a couples field day. They make me want to be in love, they make me want to feel things for someone, maybe Maliyah, but honestly relationships look like so much work, maybe when I truly understand what it entails, I'll put it to thought.
I step out of the tent intending to find Skai—she'll have some drama to fill me in on—when Elijah stumbled past me into the tent.
Is he drunk? No that couldn't be it, he doesn't drink, could he be sick then? I walk back into the tent only to find him asleep on the floor.
That's odd.
"Eli?" I call out to him "Dude" I softly kick his feet, no response, even weirder, Elijah is a light sleeper, is he dead?
"Starling" I hit his foot harsher this time and he groans, okay so he's alive "Glad to see you're alive"
"Must be glad to see to begin with" I hear him mumble.
I stare at him bewildered "what?" is he sleep talking? You know what he's probably just finally getting good sleep and I'm bothering him, I should let him be.
I should go find Skai, hopefully she isn't talking to some random guy, the crazy thing is that although the girls take her to be a whore and spread nasty rumors about her, the guys don't think that way, well most of them at least, my sister is just a weirdo searching for love, she doesn't whore around...at least I don't think so.
