SKAI LADISTON

The first day of this new school came faster than I imagined, this morning we were pretty confused about what we would take with us, I mean it's a new school in a new world, they don't exactly teach these stuff in grade school on earth.

Lucky for us, Mrs. Bolvera had school bags packed for us in the living room, when we made our way down the stairs. We were pretty hesitant to ask her for help with anything because she was already doing enough providing us with food, clothing and shelter.

Arriving at the school we were greeted with numerous stares from students all around, of course we had expected this but that didn't make it any less uncomfortable.

"I'm guessing we need to get our uniforms." Emily pointed out.

I take in the uniform the students were putting on once more, they were really basic yet odd at the same time. Personally, I was really against this whole uniform thing but at least it's cute you know.

The girls wore a plaited black skirt with a white button-up collar shirt and a black sweatshirt, a black tie with the school logo on it, white long socks, black boots and an ankle-length cloak over it.

Some students wore a cloak some didn't.

The boys on the other hand had the exact same thing but with black dress pants.

"We should find our classes" River muttered.

"What you should do is get in your uniforms before Ms. Snigs catches you out of conduct." A boy came up to us, he had jet black hair and ghastly eyes, as if he was blind. "Ferit Escendor" he smiles at us "Head of class, Year two"

lijah Starling"

"Skai Ladiston"

"River Ladiston"

"Dexter Bardo"

"Emily Solaris"

"Interesting names, nice to meet you all, I'll be taking you all to collect your uniforms and afterwards I'll proceed to give you a tour of the school"

How are we going to tour this school in one day? That seems absolutely impossible.

Ferit took us to the uniform shop—which was huge, we all got changed and then proceeded to tour the school.

"We'll start off with showing you your lockers" he smiles, breathtaking.

He hands us each a sheet of paper from the stack in his hands. "That's your locker numbers and your schedules, year two lockers are located on the second floor, hallway one to four, hallway five is out of use" he informs us leading us up the stairs, a different set of stairs than the ones we took when we came to enroll.

"This floor is home to half of the year two classes, the other classes are located in other buildings, two of which are located in the donrak and leyfoe tower respectively" he tells us as we make it to the second floor. "First, we should find your lockers" he turns to face me taking the paper he had previously handed to me from my hand. "343a" he mutters reading what was on the paper out loud.

He showed us to our lockers and we register our fingerprints into them.

"The classes you have on this floor are; General class, Life engagement, Chlomadine, History, Egg hatching and Caregiving" He reads off my paper which was still in his possession. He shows us where each of these classes were located.

The classes were decent looking, they all looked different, the seating arrangement and everything. Most classes had two seats per desk, others had three, some the seats were arranged in ascendingly, the seats at the front were on the ground floor but as you1 went back a desk the seating got higher and higher, I think it's pretty efficient, that way no one's big head will come in the way of your view of the board. The classes that looked like that was History, Chlomadine, Egg hatching and life engagement.

The other classes—General class and Caregiving—looked like a basic high school classroom.

I had general class, which I figured out was basically homeroom with Emily and River, Dexter and River shared the same homeroom.

Ferit led us out of the main school building through some sort of back door, we walked down a passage and ended up in a completely different building.

"This building is where 90% of experimental classes are held, you have no business with those stairs" he explains pointing to two sets of stairs one at the left and the other at the right. "Those are for the third and fourth years" he takes us through multiple hallways before we reach a dead end, he turns and smiles at us.

"These classes require a registered attendance" he starts to explain "That means, you can't miss them under any circumstance, it would stain your record and possibly deem you as 'not fit' but that's just what the rumors say" he shrugs turning around and placing his hand on the wall and a green ray scanning it and then it beeps red. "We can't go inside because a class is in progress, but you need to register your palm prints"

We all get our palm prints registered, it was serum making and potion brewing class.

After that, he showed us to donrak and leyfoe tower which we had skill testing and skill cultivation classes, both towers were connected to the building we were in and had similar entrance pathways to that of Serum making/potion brewing class.

"The infirmary is in the main building" he informs us looking at his watch "We don't have much time before the alarm goes off for the mid-day meal, we were only granted class leave for morning classes" a sigh escapes his lips.

"Alright" he pauses and directs us towards a window "That field over there is for fitness class and you see those towers?" he asks and we all nod looking at the 12 towers arranged in a square formation, the same ones Delta pointed out to us before "they house the elite students and the field they create is the sufliah field" he grins.

"Sufliah?" I ask unfamiliar with the name as we turn away from the window making our way back to the main building I suppose.

He chuckles "No way you don't know what sufliah is" he shakes his head causing heat to rush to my cheeks, maybe I should have just kept my mouth shut like my friends. "There's a game at the end of midterms, you should come"

I nod in response before I say something else that makes me seem stupid.

"When are midterms?" Elijah asks

"I'd say six weeks from now" Ferit shrugs "Timetables aren't out yet" Everything he says sounds like it came out of the mouth of an angel.

Skai don't swoon, you just met him

I'm not swooning.

"Huh?" Ferit looks over at me in confusion.

Shit I said that out loud. "You're talking to crazy again" Emily whispers in my ear and I groan internally, shaking my head at Ferit.

He continues the tour.

"This is the infirmary" he stops at the door which had a rusty silver plate above it with 'INFIRMARY' engraved into it. "Last stop is the dining hall.

A beep sounded through the school just as we arrived at the dining hall—talk about timing—I knew this because there was a rusty bronze plate above the doors which said 'DINING HALL' boldly.

"That's the end of this tour" Ferit spins around with a huge grin etched on his face "lunch lasts about 45minutes, it varies depending on the day. If you get there 40 minutes late, you won't get any food because it's not ideal to finish a meal in five minutes, you'd just end up arriving late to your next class" he informs us.
