"Wanna share an umbrella with me?"

With great poise and curiosity in his face, the man in front of me met my gaze— causing me to let out a small smile, showing my concern and genuine intention.

It's been raining so hard since lunch time started.

It was a moment when realization hugged my soul. Every gaze from his hazel brown eyes pinned something in me. It was like knotting my whole attention to him, alone.

My eyes started to study his features. From his captivating eyes, firm yet soft jawline, pointy nose with a delicate structure, his thick eyebrows, and plump lips that I could compare having the same shade as strawberries— ang hulma ng mukha at hitsura niya ay hindi tinigilan ng mga mata ko.

My peripheral vision saw him make his way towards me, stopping with only a few steps mula sa kinaroroonan ko. He removed his ear pods at ibinulsa na iyon.

"Is it okay? My dad's car is waiting for me at the waiting shed. You can drop me by there and I'll stop disturbing you." His voice, low but enough for me to hear started to travel through my ears.

Weird. It's raining heavily but I heard what he said, clearly.

"Of course! No problem. Malapit lang naman 'yong waiting shed, e. Halika na?" I responded as I reached for my umbrella beside the compartment of my back pack. I pulled the handle and pressed the button, causing the umbrella's fluttering sound to echo through the corners of our school's lonely hallway.

My feet guided me closer to him as I offer the shade of my umbrella with his figure. Both of us started to walk away from the establishment and were immediately greeted by the cold breeze swaying all over the atmosphere. I felt some strands of my hair touch my forehead, but I did not mind it.

He still have that stoic look on his face. His eyebrows are calm, and his facial muscles are doing fine. Hindi iyon stiff o kung ano man.

But, there's one thing I noticed since earlier.

It's his eyes.

Despite having the most captivating color plastered on the windows of his soul, it does not resonate the happiness or liveliness it should radiate. Eyes don't lie, after all.

Our footsteps had dive in every puddle we encounter as we make our way to the school's gate.
