Chapter 12

Rhett comes in the office and takes a seat on the couch on the other side of the room and pulls out his phone. I turn my chair around and smile."Sooo...how did it go?" I ask.

Rhett looks up from his phone," It went pretty good." He replied.

I got up from my chair and took a seat next to him on the couch,"I just want to say Thank you." I say.

"For What?" Rhett was confused.

"For letting me be on Song Biscut with you." I reply beaming,"It's all I have ever wanted."

"Your welcome Beth." He looked touched.

Rhett scooted closer to me and took my hands. He stares deep into my eyes,"I wanna tell you something Beth." He states.

"Okay." I say.

Rhett gets up from the couch and shuts the door,"I don't know how to say this." He nervously ruffles his hands through his hair.

I get up and stand in front of Rhett. I take his hands and gaze into his beautiful deep, hazel eyes."It's okay Rhett you can tell me." I reassure him.

Rhett doesn't say anything. He leans down and presses his soft lips against mine. I didn't push away, I kissed back. I didn't realize how long I actually wanted this.

Rhett pulls away and looks down on me,"Does that tell you?" He hoped.

"It does actually." I admit.

I stand on my tipy-toes and kiss Rhett again, deepening the kiss. I hear the door open,"Well it's about time you two!" A voice interupts.

Rhett and I pull away from each other and look towards the door. Link is standing there with his hands on his hips and smirking.

"When you two are finished making out I would like to go home." He mocks.

Rhett and I blush."Sorry dude we're ready." Rhett says to Link.

Rhett takes my hand and together we leave. Rhett sits in the back sit with me in Links car has he takes us home.

Link turns to the back seat when arrive at Rhett's house. "So are you guys like a thing now?" He ask.

Rhett and I look at each other then turn to Link and nod. We get out of the car and walk hand in hand towards the house.

Rhett makes dinner and we spend the rest of the night cuddling on the couch.I fall alseep and Rhett carries me up to his room. I feel his body press up against mine has his arms wrap around me. Just before I fall into a deep sleep he whispers in my hear,"I Love You."

I smile and drift off to sleep. Everything in this moment felt perfect.
