Leah's POV
"Y/N get up, this is getting ridiculous now." I said sternly, practically demanding Y/N to get out of bed.
My alarm went off for training around 30 minutes ago, and I had got up and gotten showered and ready for the day in that time, whilst Y/N just lay there. She was awake this whole time, but refused to get out of bed. Of course, I thought she was just being lazy, I didn't think about the fact it had been 30 minutes and she was still refusing to get up, all I was thinking about was being at training on time, and that Y/N was being a pain in the arse. Normally we joke around like there's no tomorrow, but today was an important one at training, so it really wasn't the right time to be doing this.
"What the hell is wrong with you today? We literally have to be at training in 10 and you're still lying in bed? Quit being lazy Y/N, now is not the time." I said, starting to raise my voice a little. I expected that to work, and that Y/N would get up after that, maybe a little giggle from her because of how stern I'd got with her while she was joking around, but instead she turned around, her back now facing me and her head facing the wall. I scoffed, grabbing my bag off the floor and putting it down on the desk, making sure I had everything I needed. I was now rushing, which made me more annoyed that Y/N was messing on with me. Only now, the fact she had turned her back on me and was still not getting up, did it begin to play on my mind that there was more to it. I tried to brush it off.
"Leah she's fine, just sort yourself out." I said to myself in my head, but as I picked up my bag and began to walk towards the door, I heard Y/N sniffling to herself. She was crying. I stopped, turning myself around to see Y/N's head buried in her pillow, her duvet covers pulled up tight towards her chest, and her pillowcase becoming soaked from her tears. I knew I couldn't leave her like this. At that moment, training was the last thing on my mind. I dropped my bag on the floor and sat down on the other side of Y/N's bed, reaching my arm across to stroke her back and head.
"What's the matter babygirl?" I asked sadly.
"I'm fine Leah, just go to training." Y/N replied through her cries.
"No you're not, don't worry about training. Please talk to me." I said, knowing my anger at her earlier had caused this. "I didn't mean to upset you, I genuinely thought you were just messing around."
"I know, it's okay." Y/N reassured me.
"Why didn't you tell me you were upset? We could've spoke about it earlier and I wouldn't have got annoyed at you." I asked.
Y/N shrugged her shoulders, her head still facing the wall.
"I don't know what's wrong, I just feel really sensitive to everything today." Y/N admitted. "I haven't even got out of bed yet and all I know is I just feel like crying."
"Bub you know you can talk to me, right? Even if you don't know what's wrong, you can still tell me how you're feeling and we can talk about it. Even if you just need some company, I'll be here." I said, pulling Y/N round so I could see her face. Her eyes were puffy and her cheeks were so red. I felt awful.
"Thanks Leah." Y/N whispered. "I just feel like I'm a constant burden to you so I try to hide things as much as I can, I don't want to ruin your day with my shit."
My heart sank.
"That's not true at all. You could never be a burden to me Y/N/N. You're my best friend, all I want is for you to be happy, and whenever you're not, I'm here to help you find that happiness again. That's what friendship is all about." I said, holding her hand and squeezing it tight.
"And I'll always do the same for you, so please don't feel like you can't talk to me Le." Y/N replied. That made me tear up.
I didn't want to respond to that as I knew I'd cry, so instead I lay down next to Y/N and hugged her tight.
We lay together for a few moments, before Y/N attempted to shove me back into reality.
"Leah, you need to go to training."
"Oh shit yeah, forgot about that." I replied. "Are you coming?"
"I'll be there in a couple of hours, need to sort myself out first." Y/N said.
"Okay, but if you need anything at all, and I mean anything, message me or ring me and I will come and help out straight away. Remember I have my watch on me at all times." I said to Y/N. She nodded.
I smiled at her, knowing that it would help her feel better. I rubbed her back as I stood up, and headed out the door to go to training.
