Warning⚠️ talk of eating disorders & self harm

A/N: this one is kinda related to one of my previous stories so to understand it, read the incident, part 1 and 2.

Leah's POV

The last couple of weeks had been tough. After Y/N collapsed on the pitch, we spent every moment of our time supporting her as she sat on the sidelines throughout everything. Sarina told us a few days ago that Y/N had been struggling with her eating, which absolutely broke my heart, but I was determined to support her with it and get her fit enough to train again.

I had never noticed any problems prior to the incident, but now more than ever it was so obvious, and I couldn't overcome that guilt of not noticing it until it was too late. She would sleep in so that she didn't have to eat breakfast, but when she did eat something, it was tiny, and she'd down a glass of water straight after to get it out of her system faster. I had no idea what to do or say, or what was right and wrong, but I was trying, and I really hoped she knew that.

I woke up to get ready for training at around 7:45. I quickly showered and got dressed before deciding to wake Y/N up. She'd missed breakfast every day since she collapsed, and now it was starting to upset me a lot more, understanding why she was doing this. I sat down next to her and carefully shook her awake.

"Come on angel, you need to get up." I whispered, as she stretched her arms out and slowly opened her eyes.

"Morning sleepyhead." I smiled at her. She gave me a small smile back and I stroked her head.

"Why are you waking me up? I can't train remember!" she said, her voice all croaky from just waking up.

"I know, but I want you to try and eat some breakfast and come and watch us train." I replied. Y/N scoffed.

"I'll come and watch you train but I'm not that hungry." she said, sitting up in bed to look me in the eyes.

"Y/N/N, you haven't eaten breakfast in nearly two weeks now, there is no way you're not hungry." I said, giving her the concerned look.

Y/N's eyes softened, seeing that I was genuinely concerned for her, but that didn't change anything in her mind.

"I can't, I'm sorry Leah. You go have breakfast, I'm going to have a shower then I'll meet you all at the training session." she said, standing up and heading towards the bathroom.

She closed the bathroom door and I let out a big sigh. The fact she was beginning to refuse to eat, rather than just making excuses was breaking me, I felt so hopeless in the situation and felt so guilty that I hadn't seen the signs before. A small tear fell from my eye, I quickly wiped it away and went downstairs to see the other girls.

When I got downstairs, Millie was sat at the table with Rachel, Alessia, Ella, Mary and Georgia, while Lucy and Keira were in the middle of making their bowls of cereal.

"You alright Leah?" Rachel smiled at me. I nodded, grabbing a slice of toast and joining them at the table.

"Is Y/N still asleep?" Mary asked concerned.

I shook my head.

"She's in the shower. I tried to get her to come down for some breakfast but she refused. Said she wasn't hungry."

The girls all looked at me sadly. Georgia stroked my shoulder to make me feel less alone.

"Bless her." she said. "Poor girl is really struggling isn't she?"

"We'll get her back in no time I'm sure, just need to keep supporting her." Keira said, walking over to sit down opposite Georgia.

When it was time for training, I headed outside with the girls to find Y/N already there, talking to Sarina. My god, I was glad to see her. I walked up behind them and put my arms around Y/N's neck, hugging her from behind.
