Y/N's POV

After the nightmare of my period starting at 3am, I fell asleep in Leah's arms. But, sure enough it didn't last long. The sharp pains returned at about 4:30am, although I refused to get out of bed again as this time I knew I would disturb Leah, so I just lay there instead, clutching my stomach and silently sobbing to myself.

Luckily for me, Leah didn't notice, or at least I thought, so I managed to keep myself quiet and as still as possible, until it was 8am and Leah got up.

"Morning, sleepy." she said, shaking me awake. I must've fallen asleep again. I tossed and turned for a second or two before opening my eyes to Leah sat up in bed, smiling at me.

"Oh, hi." I replied.

As I opened my eyes, her smile turned to concern.

"What's wrong? Your eyes are bloodshot." she asked.

"Oh erm, nothing I'm fine, just tired after last night." I lied. Leah looked concerned, as if she knew I was lying, but instead went along with it as normal.

"Anyway, I'll go and make breakfast. Get up, we've got training in two hours so we need to be ready asap." Leah said, hopping off the bed and heading downstairs.

Leah's POV

I knew something was up with Y/N. Last night was really hard for her, her period started but instead of her normal amount of pain, she seemed to be a lot worse which was worrying for both of us. We'd managed to both go back to sleep, but when I woke her up, her eyes were bloodshot, as if she'd been crying all night. It started to hit me that she'd been up again during the night, but didn't wake me when she needed me which broke my heart.

I left her in bed while I made our breakfast, just a basic dippy egg and soldiers, and headed back upstairs with it along with a couple more painkillers.

"Here you go, sweetheart." I said, handing Y/N her plate. She looked so exhausted.

"Thank you," she whispered, taking her plate and taking a deep breath before she started to eat.

"Actually babe, before you start." I interrupted her. "Are you sure everything was okay after we went to sleep last night?"

The look on her face went from semi normal to panic. I put my arm around her and stroked her shoulder, so she knew I was with her.

"It came back, the pain." Y/N said.

"Was it as bad as before?" I asked. Y/N nodded.

"I didn't want to wake you again so I just dealt with it and stayed in bed."

"Oh darling, I would've helped you if you had. I'm sorry I wasn't there." I said, starting to worry with guilt.

"It's okay, I managed." she said.

"Did you cry? Your eyes are telling me you did, a lot." I asked her, knowing the response I would get would break me.

"It was so bad Leah," she nodded. "I genuinely don't know what's wrong with me but I'm so scared. It still really hurts."

"Listen, you know how I have that thing called endometriosis?" I asked her. Y/N nodded.

"Well, that has caused me extreme pain when I've been on my period, just like you had last night. There has been many occasions where I have had to try and sleep on the bathroom floor, because I physically could not move, and I've cried floodgates of tears because of the pain. It might be worth getting you checked for it." I explained, seeing her face go white at the thought of it.

"Leah I know how bad things get for you, I've seen you sit and cry in the changing rooms before because of it, I don't want to have to go through all of that." Y/N said in a panic.
