He looked at me when I said that and he was about to ask why until he remembered. He mentally face-palmed himself, he felt so captivated by my appearance that he forgot to put a mask on himself. "Yeah I forgot to put it on-" He mumbled, he let go of my hand. "Wait here, I have to go back to my room to grab it."

He patted me on the head before rushing back up to his room to grab his mask. Once he was back in his room, he immediately grabbed the mask, which he had already placed on the dresser and he headed back out quickly. He once again rushed back down to me, having the mask in his hand.

Upon reaching me, he quickly puts the mask on himself before grabbing my hand once more. "Sorry, I forgot to put it on earlier. I wasn't thinking, my mind blanked out when I saw you," he muttered, he was not thinking straight when I walked out.

He mentally shook himself, he couldn't let himself get like that again. He began walking once more, he had to keep himself under control, there would be a lot of people looking at me once they entered the ballroom, so he had to keep his cool.

A few more minutes later, they were able to get to the ballroom. The moment they entered, all eyes were on them. He could feel a lot of people staring at them, or more specifically, at me. He squeezed my hand as they walked further into the ballroom, he was gripping my hand very tightly and he was silently trying to not let himself go and glare at me to deter people from getting close to me. Once they reached the middle of the ballroom, he stopped walking. He turned to face me.

He looked down at me, his eyes still seeing the other party guests watching me and looking at me intently. The way they looked at me made him slightly uncomfortable as if they were trying to analyze me. He held my hand tighter than before, silently showing that I was with him.

He leaned down and bent over slightly to my ear, wanting to speak quietly, he didn't want to risk anyone eavesdropping on them. "Indira, please, stick near me, don't go to anyone else at the moment." He whispered he was silently pleading with me to stay by his side.

"I promise," I replied quietly.

He nodded when he heard my response, hearing me say that I'll stick to him made him feel at ease. He straightened back up and looked down at me, he looked at me silently for a few moments, once again mentally admiring how beautiful I looked. "Alright then, just keep to your word about that promise." He said before looking around at the other guests again.

He could still see the other guests staring at me from afar, which annoyed him a bit, he didn't like how they were staring at me almost like I was a display. He was mentally struggling to keep himself from going into protective mode.

"Come on, let's get some drinks," I held his arm and tugged him over to the bar.

He allowed me to tug him along to the bar. He was slightly surprised by me wanting to grab a drink but he didn't question it. Though his mind was still focused on the way the other guests were watching me, it was like they were not even trying to hide it or look away.

He looked around as I and him were walking over to the bar, he saw a lot of the guests look over to the two of us when I held his arm. He could see some guests whispering to each other, most likely about me and him. He silently clenched his free hand, he could feel his irritation growing a bit but he was doing his best to keep it all down.

He could see me pour myself a glass of wine even though I was still underage. He was about to speak up but I quickly took a sip before he could say anything. He was quiet for a few seconds but then he spoke up as I set the glass down. He said, silently telling me to be mindful of how much I was going to drink.

"It's my birthday, one glass, please," I said with a pleading tone.

He silently looked at me for a moment and then let out a sigh. "One glass only, don't drink anymore alright? I don't want you getting drunk on the first hour here." He said, silently consenting to me drinking a bit.

He silently observed me as I started sipping on the wine. He still had his eyes on me, silently watching to make sure I didn't drink more than one glass. He was paying attention to me and how much wine I drank while still monitoring the other guests who were looking at me from a distance. His mind was trying to ignore those guests but it kept going back to pay attention to how they were all looking at me as if I was some kind of exhibit.

He silently glanced at his men when they came over. He knew them very well, he trusted them and they've been with the business for a long time. He looked at me when he saw that I was chatting with his men. He wasn't surprised that I was getting along with them, I've been friendly with the majority of his men and it made him smile.

He silently watched me interacting with his men, he was glad that I was having a good time chatting with them and it lessened his worries a bit. Even though he was enjoying himself just by watching me interact with his men, he still had to watch the other guests. He couldn't let himself get distracted.

He silently took a quick glance at the other guests, he could see several people watching the scene of me interacting with his men. He could see a couple of the women slightly getting annoyed and he instantly knew it was jealousy.
