The red "ON AIR" light glowed softly in the corner of the recording studio, signaling that the latest episode of Unapologetically Angel had officially begun. Angel adjusted her mic, leaned in with that signature smooth-but-playful tone, and began her intro.

"Welcome back to Unapologetically Angel brought to you by Prize Picks, and y'all—today is special. I've got two very, very special guests with me. One is the love of my life, my favorite R&B singer—y'all already know—Monica, who also happens to be my wife. And the other is the coldest hooper of his generation, my son—our son—Romelo."

Both Monica and Melo instantly burst into laughter.

Monica gave her a look and said through her chuckles, "Really?"

Angel laughed louder. "Y'all knew I was gonna do the most! Don't act brand new. But let's talk."

She turned toward Melo, who was still grinning and trying to compose himself.

"Melo," Angel said, her tone switching to a blend of pride and genuine interest, "how's it going with basketball?"

Romelo leaned forward, adjusting his headphones. "Man, it's been great. College ball is no joke—it's fast-paced, super competitive, but I love it. I'm learning a lot, building chemistry with my team, and just trying to stay focused. The schedule's wild, but I've got a good routine now. Classes in the morning, workouts, film sessions, and practice—then game days are a whole different beast."

Monica beamed, looking over at him. "You've really stepped up, baby. I'm proud of how you handle it all. On and off the court."

"Thanks, Mom," he said, nodding. "I mean, growing up with y'all, I didn't really have a choice but to handle my business. Discipline was like a second language in the house."

Angel laughed, snapping her fingers.

Angel leaned back in her chair, smiling mischievously as she looked over at Monica. "Okay, okay, Melo gave us the basketball update, but now it's time to address something that's been on everybody's mind. This album!"

Monica narrowed her eyes playfully. "Oh Lord..."

"Bae, wait a second," Angel said, holding up her hand dramatically as she turned to face the camera. "Let me tell them something about this album."

Monica immediately burst into laughter, already knowing where this was headed.

Angel continued, eyes wide and full of animated disbelief. "Y'all—this girl has been working on this album for a long time. She was working on this album when we met!"

Melo shook his head, laughing while Monica leaned over and nudged Angel in the arm, grinning. "Don't do me like that!"

Angel laughed along with them, tossing her head back. "But that's all I wanted to say. Go ahead, baby—tell them about this album that's taking forever," she added, dragging out the last words while rolling her eyes dramatically.

The room erupted in laughter again, and Monica shook her head before leaning into the mic. "Alright, alright. She's not wrong—but let me explain..."

Monica smirked and adjusted her mic. "So yes... I have been working on this album forever, I admit that. But y'all know I don't rush music. I believe in taking my time and making sure everything I say, every song I write or choose, is real and reflective of where I'm at in life."

Angel nodded in agreement, mouthing "That part," as Monica continued.

"I've lived through so much, loved through so much, grown so much—and I wanted this album to feel like all of that. Every track has a purpose. Some songs are about love, some about heartbreak, some about healing... and a couple of them are just me talking my talk because I still got it," she added with a wink.
